At what time will this map update?

The map automatically updates every 3 hours, at the following times.

5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, 11pm, 2am...

repeat.

(Edit: That's Eastern Standard Time.)

A couple of corrections: The forecast track is only updated at each 5:00 and 11:00 on a 12-hour clock, and that's Eastern Daylight Time (during Daylight Saving Time). The "Intermediate Advisory" updates are at each 2:00 and 8:00, but those only update the position of the center of the storm, wind speed, direction and speed of travel. The forecast track and cone are not updated in the Intermediate Advisories.

agreed...50-60mph at showtime probably wouldn't be acceptable not to mention possible power outages, etc

That's a probability map, not wind speed map. Still, it shows between 50-60% probability of tropical storm force winds (45mph or more) at show time.

I am just hanging out in Naples - west coast right across from Miami.

It's about a 2 hour drive.

This place is beautiful.

Ironically the radio is playing Neil Young "Like a Hurricane" as I type this.

Well I guess our only hope now is for it to head more north east.

I really do not want Denver to be my last show! I had Pit.

I have section 118 row 12 for Miami. My favorite seat / spot to watch a Stones show!

They're still building the stage, so that's a positive sign.

Even though conditions are going be really bad farther north, I think we'll be ok in Miami.

What a great pic of that stadium above! It's a cozy place!

HB Thanks for all. The latest (12:00pm) from local news out of West Palm Beach have the storm center still striking the Daytona Beach area. It has been a very hot summer and seawater is in the 90s. Not unusual this time of year.

This storm can only get stronger. Projections have it as a solid 3 by tomorrow afternoon.

Thursday afternoon will be very telling - How can one hope for the best and watch worse for others? …. Tough proposition.

Respectively- Chris

Just hope the high pressure system sitting out in the ocean is weak and Dorian simply heads up the east coast but stays out to sea!

Haven't watched any news yet today or caught up with thread - didn't realize the severity or the looming doom and gloom.
Hang tough!

When reading forecast graphs keep in mind they are outdated within 12 hours, so read the date and the time stamp under the graph, and make you read live graphs, not old screen dumps. Still, reading series of graphs with different time/date stamps will help understand how these paths and estimates are changing.

Right now it seems like Miami will be in the wet and windy shadow some time Sat to Sunday, and that Orlando, which is further north in Florida, will be in the eye of a Category 3 storm.

Miami Sun Sentenial news updates today Wednesday:

Rolling Stones keep an eye on Hurricane Dorian before final concert Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium

Dorian is now a hurricane and forecast to hit Florida as a Category 3 storm

Dorian is now a hurricane and is forecast to strike Florida as a major Category 3 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center’s latest update, issued at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Category 3 hurricanes are classified by winds of between 111 and 129 mph, strong enough to tear off roofs and topple many trees and otherwise carve a huge path of destruction.

This one is an interesting scenario because, pushing back the New Orleans show by a day for the storm was actually no big deal -- the stage and lighting rigs and everything else was indoors, inside the Superdome -- even if the storm had been bad one, the stage and rigging still would have been inside the Dome and away from the wind and rain.

If the storm hits the full rigging and stage, inside the open Miami stadium, that could have an entirely different effect.

OF course I am hoping for the best for everybody who is going to this show.
