Criminaly underplayed:

BEAST OF BURDEN

But: it must be played like in 1981/82. Powerful, with self confidence.

Keith the leader on stage. Playing the intro chords like cutting up meet.

Mick Deep into the lyrics. No choreographed dancing. Mick just beeing himself.

Am I rough enough?

I don't fancy the chances of them playing ''Cool, Calm & Collected'' anytime soon. smoking smiley

Some songs played in latter years I wish they would play more often:

If You Can't Rock Me. Perfect as the 3rd song in the selist during the Licks-tour.

This Place Is Empty. The most recent great Keith ballad, works well in concert.

Brand New Car

Love In Vain. I suspect the Echoplex version was a bit shaky.

Don't Stop

Sad Sad Sad - Was good to hear again this tour, should've stayed in the setlist.

It's sort of stupid to show stuff like "And Mr Spector and Mr Pitney came too" on the screens. Stones out of touch with their songbook

theres been many, and some have been mentioned here.

they just have so much stuff thats great its impossible to fit it all in.

but they could have rotated more, too late now to represent the many songs that are underplayed.

but heres my selection.

All Down the Line. It's been in the setlist semi-regularly since 1972, but it should be there every night in place of Tumbling Dice. Or the dreaded You Got Me Rocking.

One Hit (To The Body). My favorite song by the band.

When you say 'under played' do you mean, it has been played, but should be played more?
IMO Jagger doens't really get behind the 'new' songs anymore. "Sway" was a big deal on line, then when I heard it it did not sound very good.

Connection.

Out Of Time could be a stadium anthem!

I want the Out Of Time version with the big fat skating rink organ played by Ian Stewart. Another version takes the backing track for Chris Farlowe's version and adds Mick Jagger's voice to it. I believe there is a third version too smiling smiley

I was asking for criminally underplayed great songs, not just things we'd like to hear, or songs that could be played a bit more than they have.

- She Smiled Sweetly - something we'd like to hear, only played once, but not a great song.
- Beast of Burden - a great song, but been played 241 times, their 22nd most played song.
- Lady Jane is a great song, and played only 36 times. I think that's extremely underplayed.
- Little T&A, not a great song (IMHO), but played 103 times, to my surprise.

Any further thoughts?
