But didn't someone mention the possibility of a 16th date being added in a different city?

Never seen it.

Oh no. The race track in Austin? I guess they didn't learn from the Texas Motor Speedway disaster in 97. NOT thrilled at that prospect. idk, Dallas is an option.

This is likely going to be a terrible venue for a show. It may be hot, dusty and crowded. No way are they going to get 100K people into that space.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the 4th of July in '15 was a lot of fun!

Glad to hear Indianapolis Speedway was fun. I guess it could have just been the Texas Motor Speedway. Too many people, bad sound and almost 2 hours to get out of the parking lot.Thank you for the touch of optimism. TD.

Followyoudown-Sound was honestly great at Indy. Head to YouTube and check out the full audio only post if it is still up. As far as parking goes, the show was on the 4th of July so they had 30 minutes of fireworks after the concert. I left right after final bow and skipped the fireworks. 10 mins later I was in my car and heading back to IL. The trick I think is having some sort of post concert event. Camping may help with the post show parking lot.

Yeah, any speedway, horse track, massive park, etc. seems a recipe for less fun to me. Of course, for the two hours of the show if you're in the PIT or golden circle, or somewhere up close then it doesn't matter but beyond that I always look to other venues first. I know we're spoiled to have them touring at all but I so wish to see them in arenas again...

been so long since ive been to Rich Stadium (opps New era field)

most people staying near the stadium ?

staying right in buffalo?

transportation options from bufallo to stadium?

thanks in advance for your help

There isn’t much by the stadium, other than one off motels. We stayed downtown and took one of the crowd sourcing buses, which worked out great

I was at the front of the silver section in Indy. Sound was good, but couldn't see a thing other than the screens behind the stage, since it was all set up on flat ground. Unless you were really tall or on someone's soldiers, you had to be right up front to see them on the stage. Stadiums work better than flat ground.

Being a lifelong Indy resident and huge race fan, the nostalgia of them performing at the iconic speedway was cool, but I have enjoyed the actual show more at stadiums and domes. Was also super cool that they sponsored a race team that year for the Indy race:

I was in the VIP area at The Speedway and the view was great & the sound was the best of the 4 shows I saw in 2015, Summerfest amphitheater, Columbus football stadium & Detroit baseball park. I could definitely see that folks beyond that VIP area wouldn’t have a good view. Key was to park outside the Speedway & walk in. That wouldn’t be possible at COTA.

Plexi: You are likely arriving the day of show in both cases. I would not stay at that hotel you booked in Vancouver so I hope you are kidding.

I had a bike, which confused the parking attendants. But I got out faster than Hélio Castroneves. Not sure how it would work in the Texan countryside.

What's wrong with the Vancouver hotel?

And i don't care if I arrive the day of show. I've covered my bases no matter which day the show is.

The Yelp reviews are hilarious. Not sure I would stay there, and I have no standards. There's a lot of hype about Vancouver being beautiful, but you don't have to look too hard to find California levels of filth. Be safe.

A really bad area of downtown, has been for decades.. and the hotel itself has been a real dive, also for decades although I haven't checked it recently.

A decent option in the same price range might be the YWCA. Literally a 2 minute walk to stadium, and I believe a private room (w shared bath) would be fairly decent based on reviews.. great location.

Vancouver ticket questions:
Will the tickets for Vancouver be sold through Ticketmaster? Is there any problem with purchasing Canadian venue tickets from U.S.? Does Ticketmaster do the exchange rate conversion? Is there a Canadian Ticketmaster? Please advise!

We are also looking at hotels near BC Place right now too for the 12 & 13th.

I agree, it's on skid row,a realbad area. Try Sandman Hotel, high priced during concerts, but is in a better location, near stadium.Try coming with a few people, split the costs.

It would be in Canadian Dollars. I have had no issues purchasing tickets for shows in different countries from the UK. Bought tickets for concerts in Japan, USA, Germany, France and Ireland. The exchange rate is OK. Your card may be charged with a foreign transaction fee, maybe 1-2USD, it depends.

I live in Vancouver. My friends bands have played the Pat many times, I've been in it many times to see shows. It is absolutely common knowledge in Vancouver that nobody stays there unless part of the regular downtown east side drug addict crowd. It is horrendous. Please for the love of god do not stay there.

Another option for Vancouver would be to stay near the airport in Richmond and take Skytrain into town.

Ahhh . . . another year, another tour. I'm looking at Vancouver, but I saw them at the BC Place stadium on the Bigger Bang tour, and the sound was very "boomy". Have they improved the sound at that venue?

It has a new roof since then so maybe things have improved. It's less of a 'dome'.
