if the usa gets another tour. i would expect them to play Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, it holds around 106,000 and could easily be the biggest show next tour. remember that some college stadiums are much larger then pro football ones. fingers crossed for more shows next year....

Dude, if the Stones played Michigan Stadium, I'm there! What an achievement and a show that would be! It's the biggest stadium in the United States (not including the super speedways) and while the "official" capacity is 109,901, the crowds easily exceed that all the time. Indeed, on Saturdays during college ball season, Michigan Stadium often becomes the third largest city in the state of Michigan. The highest recorded crowd is 115,109.

And yes--if the Stones manage to keep the tickets affordable--they could easily reach those numbers.

Let's hope the Stones hit some untapped markets and/or ones they haven't played in years. There is now plenty of venues in the US and Canada that didn't exist when the Stones toured in the 1960s 1970s and 1981/1989 (heck, in many cases, since B2B/No Security). I'll be surprised if St. Louis doesn't get a show this time around.

If Louisville is for sure. Possibly Chicago. And I say the new stadium In Minneapolis will get a show I don’t see a St Louis stop. But. I am never right !

Not a chance that is the tour. They will not have Buffalo as the only show in the northeast. Skipping everywhere west of the Mississippi except Dallas, LA and Vegas unlikely and too many of the Midwest cities are too close together. Not enough money to sell all those tickets in such a small geographic area.

Zip Code tour ticket prices were much lower. No Filter tour gross was almost 4 times higher. Buffalo, Cincinnati and Indianapolis are markets closer to Jacksonville and Phoenix than Boston and DC.

I don't honestly think that where they played on Zip Code matters a whole lot at this stage. It will have been 5 years since that tour, and it was a different tour. Case in point: between the 14 on Fire tours and the first leg of No Filter in 2017 they played several of the same European cities/markets in the span of three years.

And no, I don't think that the "new NFL T-shirts list" is the tour itinerary either.

Re: No Filter Tour 2020

I laughed out loud when I saw that list above include Knoxville and Chattanooga. They would never play those two arenas within an hour of me. The only hope might be Neyland Stadium in Knoxville since Garth put 80,000 in there in mid November on a 39 degree night at $80+ service fees for all tickets. I think the Stones could Lucky Dip their way to coming close to that.

However, I expect my closest show will be a three hour drive to Atlanta or Nashville or the four hour drive to Louisville.

I love these wishlists! I wish they played Barnet playing fields so I could walk there. It's down to the promoters anyway - the band don't choose. They accept or decline. The fee for the Circo Massimo gig in Rome was apparently just €8,000 that's maybe £10,000 and maybe $12,000

The promoter must have fallen off his chair when that price came through. He can pay the band their €4,000,000 and still make money when 80,000 people pay the ticket price!

I'm sure it's a competitive market but when those deals come along the local promoter goes for it. I believe a similar story for Hamburg 2017

the revenue for the Rome show was $7,729,186; for Hamburg it was $11,954,300 !

So the promotor in Rome made 100% out of which to pay all other expenses and in Hamburg made 200%

Edit - should just say my 4.000.000 figure for the band is just speculation but I do remember it was a million to get them onstage in the late 90's so lord only knows what it is now

Recent exceptions were Havana (obviously) and I remember Glastonbury was a much lower figure as they really wanted to do it

there's no such thing as a 'free concert'.Somebody has to pay for it (in the end).

Has there ever been a concert at the Rogers Center (SkyDome) where the roof was open? I would think that would help somewhat with the bad echo.
