Not sure how reliable this is but I saw this on Twitter.

"Looks like The Rolling Stones will play at the Panasonic Stadium Suita next spring !"

[twitter.com]

Wow.
As far as I know, Suita stadium (almost Osaka) has never hosted music events. Football only.
If it happens Stones do first time.

This morning on my way to work at 0555 EDT, the woman on Sirius Classic Vinyl said she's hearing rumblings of The Stones returning to the New Orleans Jazz Festival...

Perhaps some of our fellow IORRians also heard this on an early commute?

The Who is going to be there. I would be surprised if the Stones also appeared

For some reason. I almost believe this. And if they do you would think maybe a couple of other shows in the USA

I think that Far east and Oceania will be the next, hopefully with a couple of bonus gigs in London to the end

Yes, BV told us couple of weeks ago.

The Rolling Stones might be touring USA next summer, following the highly successful No Filter US Tour 2019. The rumoured shows in Australia and Asia seems to be in doubt. Expected tour start in May 2020, stadium shows.

So the New Orleans Jazz Fest rumours do make sense as well, they are known for trying to do what they planned for, if possible.

2020 US-Tour, not Asia?

"The Rolling Stones might be touring USA next summer, following the highly successful No Filter US Tour 2019. The rumoured shows in Australia and Asia seems to be in doubt." says BV on FB.

Any background info on that?

Maybe they were just betting. And the US offered more money.

Maybe they could include a few Canadian cities.

Good news for me, as my country is finally visa free now, there is no need to worry about unnecessary bureaucracy before travelling smiling smiley Looking forward to hear the details ^^

If confirmed, it´s bad news for all fans down there...
no South America, no Australia, no Asia...
they are leaving a lot of people behind.

The problem with rumours these days is the fact that owners of stadiums as well as organizers do leak to the press as soon as they supply a bid or simply get a request for a show. So while they have been looking at shows many places, it does not mean the tour is locked in at all for those areas.

If they were to do North America again, surely they'd aim to do all or mostly different cities this time around? E.g. Detroit instead of Chicago. The North East would be tricky because all of the major cities there got a show this year and it's a big market for them.

This can only mean that they plan to tour the new album in the US first, surely?

Hoping they still throw London gigs on to the end of a USA tour

Me, too - but it´s still strange that all those cities for Asia and
Australia leaked and then it´s all gone in a minute.

I hope so too.

They did that in 2013, though the stages at all 3 UK shows were prepped up in advance i.e. Glastonbury & 2 * BST Hyde Park Festival. Someone else may know better but it appeared that all they had to do was turn up with their instruments. I'm sure they could ship the whole No Filter stage over but it may take some extra time.

Wow.
Had to double check the dates on these posts, thought for a minute I was reading last years posts.. cool smiley

Another NA leg would be fantastic!!
Been enough time that some of the Zip Code cities could be good options as well as several cities in Canada.
As BV pointed out, they do indeed like to follow through on prior commitments when possible, so Jazz Fest would also make sense spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
