I don't think that would bother him in the slightest. Business is business. There are now 5 stadia in London big enough to host a Stones show so organising one there would be easy.

Rumoured cities are Tokyo Osaka Bangkok Singapore Shanghai Macao Seoul Manila Jakarta Auckland Brisbane Sydney Melbourne Perth Cape Town. 3-4 of these cities will not get a show, and Tokyo will get 2-3 shows.

The'll play 15 shows only in 2020, no more than 3 shows in each country, so the schedule is very tight with Japan, Australia, NZ, China, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea and even some shows in Africa lined up too.
[iorr.org] , [iorr.org]

So maybe:

Melbourne
Sydney
Brisbane

Auckland

3x Tokyo (or 2x Tokyo + 1x Osaka)

Shanghai
Macau

Singapore (or Malaysia)

Bangkok

Manila (or India)

Jakarta

Seoul

Cape Town

London (UK) (maybe)

I visited Cape Town for my 60th back in May. It's a beautiful city! LOTS to do. Very safe. and cheap! Gorgeous winelands less than an hour north (Stellenbosch). Stunning. IF they play there, I'm tempted to return - for anyone that may have that on their radar, it's a spectacular place to visit!

True.

London would obviously be great and suit me but I am not optimistic about it happening.

London, Royal Albert Hall, one show, no video screens. Say goodbye to stadiums. But yes, film it in 4K. The sun will have finally set on the Stones Empire.

I was due to fly down to Cape Town from the UK tonight but I changed my plans maybe I will get down there next year.

There is a big football stadium right near the V&A waterfront in Cape Town - very popular tourist area. If you’re looking for a relatively easy intro. to the African continent, I’m telling you, Cape Town is spectacular.

Honestly I think places like Morocco and South Africa should be avoided at this point in time. Their personal safety is more at risk in countries like that.

Political and other circumstances of course are always subject to change. All I can report is the 11 nights we spent in S. Africa, we felt very safe.

Hong Kong anyone?

Macau is off the coast of Hong Kong (hour or so ferry ride). I did a 'China trip' to go to the 2014 show at the Venetian there - kind of like Vegas on steroids. One of the stranger shows I attended.

I was at this one, too.
Macau was a very weird place. Casinos EVERYWHERE...and where there wasn't one, they were building a new one. And that was 5 years ago !!

Macau only has an arena, right? No suitable stadium?

Back then, it was in a theatre at the Venetian Casino.
I'd say about 12,000 people.

Did not see an outdoor football-type stadium in the area.

There's an athletics/soccer stadium with a capacity of just over 16,000.

Too small.
But there may be an open field in island area. Like Stones did at Letnany, Prague 2018.
Rapidly developing island part have more space and less people.

Personally, I prefer Hongkong.
I want to see Stones at Clockenflap venue.

I’ve been twice to Cape Town and elsewhere in South Africa and and also spent a month in Morocco, with no problems In either country. I would love to visit beautiful Cape Town and surrounds again if the Stones play there. If I thought twice about all the other countries I’ve seen then in, I would have ended up staying at home, where I probably wouldn’t dare step out onto the street either for fear of being a crime victim, being run over by a bus or whatever and I’m sure many on this forum could say the same!

I'm with Beast. You have to live your life! I wouldn't take unnecessary risks, but the vast majority of foreign travel does not include unnecessary risk. Recently went to South Africa for 2 weeks and never felt one bit at risk.

Not sure how reliable this is but I saw this on Twitter.

"Looks like The Rolling Stones will play at the Panasonic Stadium Suita next spring !"
