They haven't?

No and the interview does not prove Keith used only acoustic guitars on JJF.

On the right side of the stereo mix of JJF it is only electric guitars. A very different sound to the acoustic through philips cassette recorder heard on the left side.

Some things I found interesting:

• "Short And Curlies" was first done in Jamaica (I'm sure some of you know that), and Johns absolutely hates it.

• Apparently, he thinks "Dance Little Sister" is trash as well. The interviewer doesn't like Taylor's guitar work on that number.

I loooove Dance little sister but have to agree on Taylors solo on that one. Taylor is great on iorr of course but that solo doesnt suit the song.

Lord have mercy. confused smiley

Have mercy on me.

You are forgiven my son.grinning smiley

Yes it does.

Nope.

The philips cassette recording is on the left speaker.

Yeah, my mistake...

The acoustic philips cassette recorder recording is driving on underneath the electric guitar.

JJF isolated acoustic (Philips cassette recorder) and electric guitar

Like Keith say's in One Plus One during one of the scenes towards the end. "... talking about Jumpin' Jack Flash where you've got that track underneath that you can't actually hear, but which is there... "

What he probably meant is : "you can't shut up once you lay your hands on your guitar, you have to play on and on and on. It's great live when we need to extend a song but it doen't work in the studio where we need concision. The stone' style is based on concision, not 5-minute noodling".

He did. He also took credit for putting Mick in his place for wanting to overdub other instruments. I like Andy's work a great deal as both an engineer and a producer, but he does often seem like he has a chip on his shoulder.

Wasn’t that Glyn Johns?

The MT "big ego" accident supposedly happened at Basing Street Studios in 72 but Herr zentgraf doesn't mention any recording session at that place that year... (or 71 or 70).

Glyn’s son is also an engineer, quite the Wikipedia photo. He worked on the next Twin Peaks release on 9/13. Sorry if this is off track.
