Great player and apparently an all around good guy. Too young.

Saw this on Dave Emlen's page, [www.kindakinks.net]
Very sad. So many Kinks have passed away in the last decade.

I saw him with The Kinks in a good show in 1987.

I saw The Kast off Kinks with Ian and Mick Avory in the lineup last November at The Epsom Playhouse.
A great show and met Ian afterwards and he came over as such a nice, talented, genuine guy.
Passed away at the same age as me ,and that is far too young. R.I.P Ian sad smiley

Saw him with Ray, The Kinks and several times with Ian Hunter. Good player and by all accounts a totally lovely person
