@Paddy @Glam Descendent - yep those South Americans know how to enjoy themselves! Have you seen the crowd on AC/DC's Live at River Plate show? They're crazy.

Live releases - while they can never guarantee sales, I hope that lower sales on one product doesn't deter them for doing further releases. It would be interesting to know which live shows have sold the most. I'm wondering if the more recent shows shift more units because the picture and sound are better? That's just my guess.

As fast as the Stones release them I will gladly by them up

Apparently the Dr. Stones site says there will be no bonus material on the general release so this will have only 3 different songs than the last Bremen release. Releasing 2 of these shows from the same tour back to back with minimal set list differences doesn't make much sense to me.

No word yet on a Japanese release with extras.

Le concert est complet mais sans bonus, ce qui est regrettable dans la mesure où il aurait été intéressant d'ajouter les morceaux filmés le 30 mars et qui n'ont pas été joués ce soir-là tels 19th Nervous Breakdown, She's A Rainbow, I Just Wanna Make Love To You et You Don't Have To Mean It.

The audio for the press conference was released on CD (about 15 minutes) in 1997 as part of a little Bridges to Babylon box set titled A Box From Babylon. I thought it was official at the time (I bought it at a Fnac store), but it was not. I have always liked the conference itself. Lots of fun. But i won’t buy a Japanese overpriced item just for it. grinning smiley

B2B St. Louis PPV has been rumored for a while; does this put the kabosh on that, or are we really getting yet another B2B show later?

It wasn't just rumoured, it was confirmed in a press release.

Really cool mix judging from this trailer. Drums are loud and powerful. Sounds much better than Bremen.

Yes, it looks like a great mix, finally! I read somewhere that a great job was done for multitrack re-mastering.

My guess is that the interaction with the audience is... somewhat different, if you like that sort of thing smiling smiley

The BTB tour was nowhere near as exciting as the Voodoo Lounge tour, and neither came anywhere near their last great tour, No Security. I always thought the Stones version of 'Like A Rolling Stone' was among their lamest covers of all time. Having Dylan sing it with them ain't much of a grabber. I understand that the enthusiastic crowds of Buenos Aires are fun to see. We already got a chunk of that on The Biggest Bang DVD set, with a bit of documentary work, and performances.

The Stones, Mick, have not always been the best curators of their own work. Knebworth, and Atlantic City '89 just sit there. Even Ladies and Gentlemen, with an improved soundtrack, would be better than another DVD release of a so-so tour.
