Michael Evis on XFM as reported on NME site says the 2007 headliner has been signed up...but obviously won't say name only that "They are not American" (which leaves it quite open)....but could it possibly be the Stones....would they ever play a festival like that? Of course it would be approximately 10 months after this tour ends...

The Sunday night slot has in recent years gone to, dare I say it - "The rock dinosaurs" - Stewart/Bowie/Waters etc....though I would guess the Stones would get the Saturday headline slot....time will tell - but I think it would be good to see them rocking Glastonbury on a summers night...

Or Oasis, Blur, Bloc Party etc. Glastonbury comes up every year as a rumour but perhaps the money isn't there to make it worth there while: a 3 day Glastonbury ticket being cheaper than one Stones ticket.

You can't have a band consisting of members between 60 and 70 to headline a festival for youth between 15 and 30.

The Stones played Werchter (Belgium) on the last Licks tour. So they do play festivals.

Wasn't Hockenheim a festival too???

Not my scene personally. I'd avoid that kind of event like the plague, but the coverage the band would get would be immense and would be great promotion for their tour

which therefore means that they'll miss the opportunity as they always do

Hope they don't play glastonbury, its a shit festival thats so overated.
