The avoid the smaller big cities since 2012 more or less. Maybe with the exception of the 2015 tour. The reason is simple: it's much more difficult to sell 50.000 overpriced tickets in Portland than in Chicago. I would be surprised if they played a Portland show one year after Seattle. An arena tour or things like Red Rocks make no sense anymore financially. The touring costs are simply too high. The cheapest tickets would be 300 $.

These later years of the Stones' career
mirrors their early days in one respect:

At this stage, it's one year at a time.

Three years ahead now looks like a long time.

It could come to a halt at any time...

...another year or two, maybe more...

...but will likely continue on

considerably longer

than most people think.

I was watching President Trump give a live speech at a rally in New Hampshire about an hour ago, and as the rally ended the loudspeakers blasted "YCAGWYW" while Trump was on stage waving to people. What a surreal moment.

Usually by now in a tour we have gotten a hint as to what might be next. Crickets this time

.. How can you imagine a world without the Rolling Stones? You don't have to because there is never going to be a world without the Rolling Stones.

That thought just made my day grinning smiley

I guess bv will do a post after Miami, like he did last year after Warsaw.

Anyone who’s paid attention to what’s been said here recently knows where the shows are planned for next year.
