Is 2019 last of The Rolling Stones?

I personally think it's not. Maybe a year or two. Keith Richards still fires and so does everyone.

Oh I suppose they'll just rock-until-they-drop, or at least one of the Glimmer twins does. To be honest it's not an edifying thing to see once great artists continue on and on when perhaps it would have been wiser not to. The RS are still playing well and haven't reached that stage yet, they obviously enjoy performing. F..k it! none of us live forever.

Yes, this and the next 5 tours. Isn't that what Mick said at the B2B tour press conference?

Anyone remember that press conference where Mick gave out a t-shirt as a "special prize for the most original question, that's a real stunner"

I can't see that anything has changed.

The position remains that they will go on forever...or until further notice .grinning smiley

After seeing them playing live few weeks ago to a packed stadium, it feels like they could do more if everybody from the band wants it.
So,yes, maybe more to come for next year.
Rockandroll,

The next tours were:

- 2002-03 Licks
- 2005-07 Bigger Bang
- 2012-13 50 And Counting
- 2014 14 On Fire
- 2015 Zip Code
- 2016 Latin America Olé (not counting the fall US "tour")
- 2017-19 (so far) No Filter

That's already seven (in theory). But de facto it's more or less the same tour since 2012.

Like most everyone else on the planet, the answer is "possibly, but that's not the plan."

That's the key thing if we want to sensibly and seriously consider this tired old question.

They have been perfectly aware these last few years that time is no longer on their side ... and they can't have breaks of years on end between tours any more.

It's self-evident that they've thus far elected to carry on whilst they still can, whilst ever they still for the most part enjoy it and...yes...whilst there's still some money in it.

I think No Filter is the last tour. But maybe they will squeeze in a couple of more gigs somewhere around the world. Maybe South America or Japan? But they can't afford long breaks no more.

Yep,

No filter may well be the last tour ...but how many more legs, over how many more continents and years is yet to be seen .

I agree I think this current tour could be it as Keith said. Hope not but eventually the body will slow down. Me and my group of 8 who are accompanying me on this road trip all think it could be the last time.

They don't look like stopping after this year's leg or next year's rumoured "exotic" leg. They all look like they're incredible fit considering their biological age and health problems within the last 15 years (cancer, heart problems, alcoholism, Keith' condition 2006/07) - even Ronnie looks better than two or three years ago IMHO. I don't think they'll quit before 2021, unless they have to. - Maybe No Filter will touch Asia, South America and/or Australia next year. Playing ca. 4-6 shows on each continent would make sense. They would probably only book stadiums in the biggest cities (Tokyo, maybe Osaka, maybe a "surprise" such as Seoul or Beijing; Buenos Aires, Rio, Sao Paulo, Mexico City; Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland). But probably they won't use the same concept over more than four calendar years. If it works well, there might be a sort of farewell tour in 2021/22 (new stage, promoting the legendary "new album"?, absurd ticket prices, but every venue sold out). If they plan a "last show" it will be in London, maybe New York or Paris. - The problem is that they are getting old. Charlie would be 81 years of age during a 2022 tour. Also it would be pretty strange if a 82 years old rock star would sing Bitch or Brown Sugar. I think after that (if it happens) touring is not possible anymore. They can't do a tour with a show only per week. That wouldn't make sense financially I guess. We'll see what will happen. Probably we "know" more than the Stones themselves.

its the old discussion again.

some think they have years left, some think this year is the last.

no one really knows, and wont till it happens.

i agree they cant afford long breaks, pity about 2007-2012, such a waste considering the level of last years tour.

i hope they continue doing these short tours, 10-15 gigs average, 2 or 3 times a year with a break in between, hopefully do this for 3 more years.

but hope they do quit at the right time and before jagger hits 80.

after they do decide to quit touring, they can open the vaults, and give us all those outtakes.

It's usually 1 tour a year of 14-15 shows. At 17, this year's a 'big' tour! After 2014, the only year there was more than 1 lot of touring activity was 2016 with February/March Ole Ole and a handful of shows in the US in October which really didn't constitute a tour.

New album next year, and then a multi-year, 250-300 date world tour of stadiums in an effort to regain the all-time highest-grossing tour title from U2.
