The Wild Five are Ben Waters on piano, Dion Egtved on bass, Dexter Hercules on drums, Tom Waters on saxophone, and Miss Imelda May on vocals.

Thanks.
Plus Amy Mayes and Denise Gordon backing vocals. Tom was there for the recording as well as Antti Snellmann on sax. Tom missed the 1st of the Ronnie Scott's shows as he was playing with Jools Holland in reading that night.

Satisfied since 1976

Will Woody tour to promote the album? That would be great!

The album will be the first in a trilogy to be recorded by Wood and the band in the coming years, each paying tribute to Ronnie’s musical heroes. Ronnie chose Chuck Berry for the first album as he has been a lifelong fan, has toured with him and also, to honour his sad passing just over two years ago.

Really like the idea of a tribute to Chuck. Guess that's why he's called Ronnie B. Goode.

love ronnie, but not a big fan of this cover! Actually it's probably closer to Chuck Berry's version than the Stones, but I knew the Stones version first and that is by far the best!

Won't buy that shit.
Just embarrassing.
He wouldn't have released that if Chuck would be still alive.
Big lack of creativity all around the Stonesangry smiley

?? Why wouldn't he have released it if CB was alive? He's covered Chuck Berry before, when he was alive, as well as many other artists. And how is it lack of creativity by the Stones, this is Ronnie solo.

not liking it is one thing, but your reasons don't make sense.

Just to be clear, the idea for the shows came from Ben talking to Ronnie and Sally in Prague last year. Thought it would be a fun way to pay homage to Chuck, which it was and anyone who went to any one of the 3 shows would testify to that. The album and new shows are the 1st in a line of upcoming opportunities to enjoy Ronnie enjoying himself. What's the problem with that ?

Might have been better had it been a covers album of multiple artists ala Blue and Lonesome.
As it is, a bit one dimensional and really unnecessary when you can listen to the superior originals, though I'm sure it's a nice souvenir for those who were in attendance.

"Worried Life Blues" was already part of Chuck's Chess catalog though.

It's also the third version Ronnie has released of the song this decade if we include BOOGIE FOR STEW and I WANT YOU TO HEAR THIS. The song has transitioned from Keith (with The New Barbarians) to Ronnie via Ben Waters. To quote a SuperHeavy track, "I Don't Mind."
