heres an idea, maybe ronnie could write the album and the rest of the band record and make it a stones album.
ronnie gives up his rights to songwriting credits and jagger/richards gets the credit.
maybe ronnie and the rest of the band could have a race to see which album is ready first.
ronnie finishes in 2019 and the stones finishing around 2032,
or maybe ronnie could teach jagger and richards as how to find a recording studio and enter through the door.

I wonder what kind of lyrics at age 72 Ronnie conjures up. Hopefully some mature lyrics about his life experiences.

Ronnie has probably worked on the songs for this album since he released I Feel Like Playing in 2010. It's not like this album is something he quickly threw together this year. Excited for this!

Oh, so it's actually a compilation. Well, that changes things. I'll return the party favors now.
Wait and see...........Quote

Will be interesting to see if Ronnie does some gigs to coincide with the record release date.
Would be good PR. This assumes he and the record label want some healthy sales...or is Ronnie just doing it for fun?

Does anyone play Ronnie Wood albums anymore? I mean, when was the last time?

That's a fair question.....I myself rarely listen to albums in their entirety any longer, unless I am performing a task such as spring cleaning. So I would have to guess it's been at least 10 years since I threw on "Gimmy some neck".
I really enjoy the "What are you listing to right now" thread here on IORR. I've been turned to so much music I would have otherwise never had heard. So for that I am grateful.
With that said....I am really looking forward to Ronnie's new album!

Live album boys. Not a studio release. Organic and spontaneous.
I often listen to Ronnie Wood's albums, Ronnie when he does an albun he does it for fun he cares little about sales, he doesn't need them.Quote

I often listen to Slide on Live: Plugged in and Standing, I Feel Like Playing, Slide on This, Gimme Some Neck and I've Got My Own Album to Do are my favorite albums, I often listen to Live at the Ritz with Bo Diddley.
I listen to a lot of music often snubbed by the general public, I listen to what I like regardless of commercial success, which for me is just shit.
