Where do you get the wristband? At the main entrance or just in front of the entrance of the No Filter Pit?

It varies by venue. Could be at main entrance when ticket is scanned for entry or could be at a checkpoint before the Field. Or one wristband to gain access to the Field and then another checkpoint to get Pit wristband.
If you have mobile entry tickets for more than one person, make sure you stay together from the main entrance all the way to..... The Pit!

At Chicago Two it was at the Gate designated for all Field Access tickets. Pit ticket holders were siphoned off to the left, tickets checked and adorned with wristbands.

At the pit itself, they merely checked for wristbands...some mobile customers tried to get in with their phone ticket and were turned away to get a wristband.

In Canada, we were given wristbands with the tickets - but did NOT have to put them on, and no one checked them when we entered the gates (much) later.

Chicago 1--given pit wristband at entrance to pit

In Chicago1 there were 3 check points.
1) Close to the entrance you had to check in and get a floor wrist band.
2) There was a check point to get on the floor showing that wrist band.
3) Show wrist band several times as you move up the floor.
4) Entrance to Pit show ticket and they removed the previous wrist (dropped it on the ground where it (and many other could be easily retrieved) and put on another PIT wrist band.

If you are in the PIT get there by 6:00, dont drink anything an hour before, head to the pit, wrap you arms around the barricade and stay there for 5 hours. If you do that you will not have to deal with the shenanigans behind you. And as you pick your spot be mindful of the camera crane and where the video man stands blocking your view.... so try to pick as good spot.

If you dont get there early... smile and be prepped to deal with the usual suspects in a GA crowd. And if worse comes to worse one can retreat further back on the floor, maybe at the time the band walks back, get a good view of them... maybe find an empty seat closer up... or if worse comes to worse... the back of the floor is all GA with a lot or room, no body against body packed sections required.
