It's 'Sad Sad Sad'.
I always thought this one rocks and they played it well back then.

Pretty nondescript, could be anything really, but probably not SFM since he's never played guitar (at least in public) on that one. So it has to be Sad, Sad, Sad !

Yup, just messing around in open-G, maybe just before a run at Sad Sad Sad. What Keith called “imitation riffing” in his book.

yeh, like when he 'imitated' writing the riff for Brown Sugar in open G on electric.
No offense to Keith's 'writer,' if that quote was from "Lice "Life."
Not that I seriously equate Keith's magnificent recorded litany of majesty with Jags relative hackery in context....but still; the guy can play in time
and roll it;
it's not like he doesn't have 'feel,' as far as all that goes.

It's hard for me to play critic though.
I think Johnny Thunders nailed it so hard on 'Born to Lose' even though without Keith that would have never got played like that.
It's almost like grasping or gasping or using the guitar like an ice pick or mountain climbing 'axe,' as it were; and is.
Probably most professional guitarists would laugh at that; i don't know
about any other of his stuff; and that's pretty primitive; but it's so ON.
like Raw Power....
Same with Steve Jones; other very simple, almost categorically simplistic players,
like maybe we could say about Keith recording the debut Stones album with only a few years
of electric guitar playing behind him; but still, the feel and 'right hand' rhythm stuff was so excellente...
