Completely agree, I am also a big fan of the Dead. Wish the Stones would take some notes from them or Dylan on how to treat their fans rather than the corporations that sponsor the tours.

Maybe our best bet is to come up with an alternative playlist and hope they change it. They played SWAY, didn't they? Or was that just a coincidence? ;-)

Ouch. It's so easy, it's so simple ROPENI:

1. THE STONES offer something.
2. YOU buy it - or you don't.

It's really THAT easy and THAT simple.

Thanks a lot for your good advice, you are very clever!
So if you have got anything to offer, I don't buy it from you, I better steal it - will save me some money, and I guess you have enough.

To:Rank Outsider,Jumping Kent Flash, Retired Dog, If you guys think that being a true Stones fan means, not pointing out the fact that as much as we hate to admit it they have become a big corporation with only one thing in mind make more money at the expense of the fans, then l guess l am not what you call a true fan. Selling t shirts for $45.00,a new cd with old stuff that everyone has hear before and then trying to pass it as "rareties" to me that is a ripp off, a dvd with six "new songs" 4 of which are very bad "sol, and "rain",$450.00for a seat.and so on.
Look guys, the stones have become greedy old men who don't give a shit about their fans.
And as far as calling me a thief cause l do download stuff for free.
If any of you has ever downloaded anything at all, then what does that make you?
Oh yes, l know "HYPOCRATES"
Have a nice day

Hi Ropeni,

you mention some good points because I (unlike Bjornulf) am not happy with everything the Stones do. However, accusing them of "rip-offs" is a different thing. They're not selling you bogus material, it's genuine Stones material, you may like it or not, but, again, that is a different thing. The one thing the Stones can be accused of is that they sold their souls to record companies and managers like Cohl who are obviously testing out the limits to the point that there's no street credibility to even speak of left. I will never buy a T-Shirt for 45 bucks, that's an insane price for something that costs a few (very few) bucks to produce (like two or three dollars). I will never pay 450 bucks for a Stones show because no band on earth is worth that amount of money for the ticket alone. Let them or their companies and managers test their limits - and if they fall flat on their faces -if not this time, maybe next time around- there is a good chance that they will come down to earth. But, if they still find enough people who pay these prices, they might even charge more next time around. That is the nature of not only their game, that is the nature of the economy game. There's nothing you and I can do about it in general, but we can always say: NO, NOT WITH ME. Try and find another fool - there are still many out there!

It is truly annoying knowing what they have in the vaults if they put some minor effort into it. I agree if you dont like it dont buy it. And I wont buy it same as live licks cd, the first Stones release I never bought, same why should I buy that with no nuggets? Piece of shit. The new dvd and compliation cd a joke rip off.

Regarding the so-called "Rarities" release, may I humbly point out to the Greediest Rock and Roll Band in the World that not a single Rolling Stones fan has ever once been excited about a "Remixed" version of a Stones song.

Mick Jagger do you listen to your remixes? When you really want to get fired up and party down do you crank up the "New Rock Remix" of Don't Stop?

remixes are just another marketing scam

BV...you say the Stones are not a charity organization...maybe they should be.

I can see it now..."THE STONES LICK POVERTY"...anyway...just a thought...but I agree with your point. I think the ticket prices are obscene, but nothing wrong with putting out a CD.
