I have been listening to quite a lot of bootlegs and outtakes recently and I have found some good outtakes. I was wondering what songs you all believe are the best outtakes. My favorite is Highway Child from Beggars Banquet sessions.

Apparently it's from the Sticky Fingers sessions... The Oct. 1970 "Stargroves" session that gave brith to "Bitch" and "Sway" (among others).

Voodoo Brew and Stew boxes are full of gems.

My fav? Willcall aka Windmill from a Jan.73 studio session!
I'd put this rocker on IORR (the album) in place of one these crap songs like "If You Really Want To Be My Friend"...
It's another lesson in open G by Keef, it rocks like a mofo, and MT plays a mean slide on it.
But feel free to prefer the tepid mediocrity of "If You Really Want To Be My Friend" ><

I like the Dirty work outtakes very much, a lot of times it's better than the stuff which is on the album.

I agree, , I think it because the outtakes did not have the crap 80's production sound that the released songs did.

Very good point there.

An lot of music, from many artists, could have been so much better if it hadn't been almost ruined by those awful 80s production values .

Travelling' Man really stood out to me when I first heard it. I like Blood Red Wine too. A lot of potential in both of those.
It's a shame that so much stuff from that era is tied up in the ABKCO / Stones problem. There's more than enough material from the Jones / Taylor eras for some superb archival releases if done properly.

I'm sure the content is great, but that has to be the worst cover to any album ever! I mean it is just terrible! Or, is it ironic..? So bad it's good?
