I'll be in Japan for a month during September/October for the Rugby World Cup and I've just found out that the Manics are playing a couple of club gigs in Tokyo while I'm there. I'm struggling a little with the Japanese websites so any tips on how I can get hold of tickets in advance?

Sorry - I don't really have a solution for you, but I certainly remember how difficult it was.

Me and a mate tried to book Deerhunter tickets for Tokyo back in January. There were options to buy and collect at the venue or even a 7-Eleven, but it seemed you needed a Japanese VPN to make any sort of progress with the sites.

Ended up asking a friend's colleague to get tickets for us.

I have actually bought club tix at a Family Mart before. Give it a shot.

I've had a few attempts on that site - I get through everything successfully and then after payment confirmation I get a message in Japanese basically saying there's some sort of error. I'll keep looking but if not I'll try and pick some up while I'm out there. Thanks anyway.
