Strange how many people doesn´t seem to like it. The pictures are so GREAT! Remember Keith spitting out his cigarette - what a scene. And the music is great imo.

Perhaps if it was from 1978...

...much better setlist at The Beacon 2006.

Nope.

1978
Let It Rock/All Down The Line/Honky Tonk Women/Star Star/When
The Whip Comes Down/Lies/Miss You/Beast Of Burden/Shattered/
Just My Imagination/Respectable/Far Away Eyes/Love In Vain/Tumbling
Dice/Happy/Sweet Little Sixteen/Brown Sugar/Jumping Jack Flash

2006 Beacon
Jumping Jack Flash/Shattered/She Was Hot/All Down The Line/Loving Cup/As

And Reefer/Tumbling Dice/Band introduction/You Got The Silver/Connection/

1978 was a gazillion times better - performance wise and set list wise.

To each his own... 1978 had too many SG-tracks for my taste... not my favorite album of all times... but back then it was their latest album, so the setlist is no surprise... A surprise is how many SG songs were played at the Beacon (Shattered, SG, Farawy Eyes, Just My Imagination). But they did not play Miss You at the Beacon, a very welcome dicision. A setlist without Miss You is always a winner for me.

Their performance at the Beacon was great, in 1978 they rushed through the songs as if they had a better place to go...

I agree with you about Miss You.

You seem to misunderstand their culture regarding how they played in 1978. The BANG tour is probably their worst performing tour of all time. The Beacon shows, as good as they did, will never stand up to anything because it's just good, borderline awful with some songs, and nowhere near great. The movie is a lot of huff, the album is a lot of puff.

It's simply not worthy.
