Have always loved Honky Tonk Women on LOVE YOU LIVE, the way Charlie makes it roll.

There are so many briliant grooves and breaks by Charlie..

I love the moments he plays 'solo',
like the intro of Almost hear you sigh,
or the drum-part after the bridge/solo in Rock and a hard place (from 3:05).

And the times he plays bassdrum every 1/8 bar.... great!

Rip this joint !
Love the snare at 0:45
CW mixes the shuffle with some straight beats

Ok, it's not 'Stones', but listen to Knock your teeth out.
I can listen to the first 20 seconds many many times in a row.

Many people say he plays "so simple... everybody can do that", but it's great and so very effective !
He plays for the music :-)

“Rocks Off” remains my favourite drum part from Watts.

Yes, two things: first off, the snare just sounds fantastic. And second: what I've always found so interesting about the RO drums is how Charlie deals with the chord change, and dynamic swell in the verses. There is the low part of the verse, where it goes "Im always hearing voices on the street, I want to shout but I can hardly speak". So now it goes UP for the "I was making love last night". I think most drummers would have put a fill and the crash with that line; either announcing it, or underscoring it. But Charlie doesn't budge yet; he is still on the steady beat for that line. He doesn't roll and crash until before "to a dancer friend of mine".
He never quite does it the same each time. In the first time that change comes around he doesn;t do a roll until even later, after the "is he checking out for sure" line.
Again, this just shows how much Charlie follows Jagger, and the song, and not some inanimate click track.
