If you could pick ANY U.S. Venue for 2006

Going to my first ever in Vegas....so, am asking, where would some of you choose to go, in 2006, if you had your choice.

thanks

I'm heading to Vegas as well. Crappy seats, but I've heard it's possible to be "upgraded" at the concert, though that may be especially difficult there. My next choice would be an MSG show, followed by Miami (warm weather baby), Hollywood Bowl, Baltimore, and Memphis.

thanks 4ty__being a native californian, I'm a big sissy when it comes to cold.
Memphis(probably cold) and Miami sound intriguing

I live a little over an hour from LA...and no thanks! LOL

Yeah, I hate the cold too. MSG and Baltimore will be freezing, but they'll be great shows for sure. Memphis ought to be special. Miami and the Stones make for a great vacation.

Why no Hollywood Bowl for you?

Been to the bowl..actually the Greek Theatre is my favorite...I am not fond of LA...and would rather venture somewhere I have never been

Austin...I cannot believe they don't play there...

I dont like the Greek Theatre outside the A section. I wont spend more than $5-10 to sit in the terraces for anybody.

I would pick Long Beach Arena unless I could arrange for a private gig at Spaceland in Silver Lake.

inopeng__AGREE, I love Austin and the hill country. Big city for music, too.
ie: Austin City Limits and others

I'd love to see the Memphis show. Mick and Keith love it there, for obvious reasons. I bet the vibe will be amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do a blues gem or two, and maybe even have a special guest.

Dan__I love the Greek...but was never in the "tree seats" and blue...I'm leaning towards Memphis

Thanks for all the input.

I am sitting upstairs in the corner for the Charlotte Show. It says "partial view". How elaborate is the stage? I have sat behind the stage for Bruce and it was a pretty decent seat. Any thoughts?

MSG NYC. For me. But it all depends if you want a set list of bigt hits or more obscure tracks. If you want a big hits stadium set list then go for places they rarely play. If you want rarities then go for MSG and Boston. When they return freguently they play real arena sets i.e. more obscure songs.

I would not worry too much about the band. They are usually at a high standard at every show. It's the crowd that is different.

Personally I would have loved to see them at the LA Forum - it is legendary - but I can't fit it into my plans unfortunately.

I'm going to Chicago United Center. Rumours go that they'll play Ventilator Blues
:-). That's a reason to fly 8 hours

The United Center in Chicago is a "must" indoor venue. Big enough for Stadium sound, small enough for a semblance of intimacy... and the crowd is just NUTS. You don't get a more rabid crowd than the U.C. in the wintertime.

BV - the Forum is just another old dump arena, its just not as bad as the newer places since there are no skyboxes between the upper and lower level. Actually its all one big level with just an aisle separating upper and lower. You aren't really missing much, it isn't really all that legendary.
