Just the loss of the stained glass is heartbreaking. There is so much more, 850 years of history, just gone in hours. I’m sorry for those who never saw it. There will always be those who don’t appreciate it - cynics who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
Some of these pre-teens know nothing of history, of the place Notre Dame occupies in French history, art, faith. It is iconic and has been appreciated by countless millions over the years.
