Not this very second, but the last albums I been checking out is the last Spoon album, which is very good. I think Stones lovers would very much like this.
Then I tried getting into the last Arcade Fire album 'WE', which IMO is lame. Such a great band for first 3 albums, they have become trite, and are laying down what to me sounds like Bon Jovi type crap.
Black Midi is fantastic, and probably not for everybody. Awesome drummer, bassist, lead-man. saw them with horn section too.
Who else? Neil Young is putting out old concerts, excellent stuff.
"Oui" by Urge Overkill is f*kin great. Jack White's last is so so. Binker & Moses is heralded as improvised Jazz, but to me was a real yawner.
After the Stones my fave band is probably Spiritualized. The last album is positive, and has some great tracks.
I have about 40 albums that are sitting here ready for listening.
Cheers Palace - - there's plenty of other great contributors to this essential thread, but seems most eyes and ears are currently focused on the new Stones Sixty tour.
Imagine if the Stones attempted to pull this out of their big bag of tricks...pretty sure they could do it justice, and have to think the crowd would love it.
