Dreadlock holiday is a reggae song with humor in it. It's not about the usual misery and it sounds fresh .That's why I like it.

Glad you are enjoying it! I love when I am into a new song and come here to check to see if anyone else posted it. Someone did post my song above years back, but it was in part 1, so I couldn't quote it.

There is a lot of humor in reggae music, its just you have to know and understand the situations at the time and know your patois to catch it. Entire hilarious feuds like the Prince Jazzbo vs I Roy thing and plenty of humor wrapped up in serious topics. Lee Perry was famous for it in his productions for one thing. Just gotta spend a couple years acclimatizing yourself to it and learning some then contemporary history of the place it was happening.
