This page/post is an introduction to the IORR web site. May be you are a new visitor, or may be you have been around here for many years. In any case, please check out this page and the links, as it might be helpful both for yourself as well as others.

About IORR the fan club:
IORR means "It's Only Rock'n Roll". IORR is a fan club by and for Rolling Stones fans, created in Norway November 1980 by Bjørnulf Vik. There are 61 IORR magazines issued, and the next issue IORR 62 is still in the works. It will be the most special issue of them all, and when it will be out, it will be a true collectors item. Since 1996, IORR has been online in Internet, and the current address IORR.org has been around for almost as long as Internet has been around. Today IORR is an online worldwide fan club with approx two million visitors every year.

About IORR.org:
The online presence of IORR comes in two parts: Editorial contents and forum pages. There are three main forums as linked up from the IORR home pages:

Tell Me : General Stones talks and discussions

All Sold Out : Trading tickets

Hot Stuff : Trading music and collectors items

Talk about Talk:

If you have questions, problems or issues with the IORR Forum systems technically then feel free to use the separate Talk about Talk" forum. It is linked up in the Help pages, see link on top of the forum pages, also, a link is here:

Talk About Talk

There are now more than one million comments and entries in the IORR forum database pages, and a few thousand editorial pages. In order to find your way to threads and links of interest in the forum pages, there is a separate "links page" you may access through the following link on the IORR home page.

Except for the three forum structures on IORR, all content is editorial. This means the IORR editor has been validating the contents, just like a newpaper and their journalists are validating editorial contents. The main pages to look for Stones information would be the "News" pages, also check out the "old" news as linked up from the lower part of the news pages, 2018, 2017, 2016, ..., all the way back to where IORR was starting up more than twenty years ago.

Finding stuff on IORR:
IORR is a non-profit web site. There are no ads on IORR, and there is no paid staff. Still, there are many many fans who help in with updates, feedback, comments, news, rumours and stuff. IORR is not like a commercial site, where it should be relatively easy to navigate. To find tour dates and show reports, please use the "Tour dates" and "Show reviews" links with the years listed, as seen on the left and right parts of the home page. Every single show since 1994 is listed through these links, and there are show reports and set lists verified by the editor for more than twenty years.

Searching for contents:
If you do not find what you are looking for, then try some search hints like these examples:

missoula site:iorr.org
ivan neville site:iorr.org
gabriel luke site:iorr.org
memory motel site:iorr.org

Search examples explained:
The first part is telling the search system WHAT you are looking for. The "site:" is listing WHERE you want to search - "iorr.org". Search engines are smart, and they will search through more than one million IORR pages in their indexed cache libraries, so that you will get useful links within a second or so.

Smart search hints:
If you search for "keith richards" then you will of course get a lot of suggested links, not that easy to work with, but if you add some more hints to the search, like "keith richards ladder" or "mick jagger memory motel" then you will of course get closer to what you might be looking for.

Also, please note that the IORR forum system has got it's own Search system, it will only search on forum contents, not of editorial contents.

In order to post on IORR, you need to register. Use the "Tell Me" link, then choose "Login", then the link "Not Registered? Click here to register now." Then add a login username and a valid e-mail address.

Due to an issue with the IORR registration system, you need to send an e-mail to the IORR editor in order to get the registration process finished. Just send an e-mail from the e-mail address you specified, and state "New IORR user" in the e-mail. The same goes for any other issues related to login. Just send an e-mail with the message "IORR Login problem". No further explanation needed. You will get feedback and login/password info within 24 hours normally, often faster, some times it might take a bit longer. This is the e-mail address to the iorr editor:

iorr@arena.no

IMPORTANT: You need to send an e-mail from the very same e-mail address as you used for the registration. Due to security issues, in order to avoid account hijacking, no other e-mail addresses may be used for restoring access. If you do not have access to the e-mail address once used for an old registration, then feel free to make a new registration.

When you have got in place posting access on IORR, I would advice anyone to read the IORR posting policy pages. It is linked up on the top of the forum pages with the following link text:

For information about how to use this forum please check out forum help and policies

In short, posting and talking on IORR should be easy and no worries. No fighing, no politics, no religion, mostly Stones related, anything within limits. If you start a new thread about something that is not Stones related at all, it is adviced to prefix the subject line with "OT: " so that others see there is no Stones contents in that thread ("OT" = "Off Topic").

Offending posts may be deleted. IORR is a moderated editorial site. There are rarely moderation on posts, in fact users are rarely moderated or banned, may be every 2-3 months I have to close posting access due to rules being ignored, and posts are rarely deleted, unless they are totally out of line, like spam, or simply racist, political or hidden offending messages. Please do not stretch the limits. If you need to shout and fight there are other places on Internet for such.

The quality and the safety of IORR rely on each and every visitor taking care of each other. We are a social network, and we make our own security. If you feel something is wrong, then please contant the IORR Editor.

Thanks to everyone who help in making IORR work a great meeting and information place for fans of The Rolling Stones!

If you have browser problems, then try another browser. There are Firefox, Chrome, Edge and other browsers available. Also, try deleting cache and temporaty files.

With Chrome, try Ctrl-Shift-N, then you will get a new instance of Chrome in Incognito modus, which means the browser instance will be "dumb" and have no history brought in from previous sessions.
