Actually the harmonica part on "Can't you hear me knocking" is the harmonica Mick part that I like the least. I don't know, it sounds to me that he tries to play it in "straight harp" position instead than in "cross harp". But maybe I just have to give another listen to it.

Agree with Wild Slivovitz.
I don't like the harp sound he has nowadays. Somebody here once explained to me Mick is too lazy nowadays to carry a separate microphone for his harp, and consequently a separate, dedicated amp. Like he used to do (Get Yer Ya-Yas). I love it when he sang thru the harp in the MR solo ("don't do that" or something).
I find his modern playing repetitive, like always the same lick, with little dynamics.
I know, I'm gonna "go down" sharp with this comment!

There are magic moments in Mick's harp playing. "Midnight Rambler" is the best of all times, followed by "Little Red Rooster" and "Hip Shakes" as well as "Out of Control" live versions.

Ah yes ........ Mick's harp playing. It's great, and my own personal dream (which I hasten to add has ZERO chance of materializing) would be to hear the Stones do an instrumental song called 2120 S Michigan Avenue.

If anyone from the Stones org is reading this on behalf of the band ......... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell Mick to rehearse this and play it for us in Euroope next year.

Brian played the harp on 2120 S. Michigan. Mick would have a tough time reproducing the frenzied tempo of that solo . . .

Great. Check out the SNL performance of Godess In The Doorway. Great stuff.

I play harp too.

Mick should take a seperate amp for it, though.

Yeah, brian was clearly a better harmonica player than mick, and a more natural musician. But mick's good too, and it's just nice to hear him play.
