Correct. If Bjornulf's made that point once, he's made it 100 times. Like many on here, I've travelled abroad and queued for hours to get into shows, meeting other fans of many, many nationalities during the queueing and socialising which is always such a great part of the gig experience.
But this mix of far travellers in the early queue is not an accurate reflection of the make up of the whole audience. These are the die-hards, who've travelled a long way, eager to make the most of it.
The vast majority of the audience for the Stones and every other artist is local, attending once a tour or once a lifetime.
I know how you feel.We just have to wait, maybe no tour this year who knows but maybe July start but I wish the news is coming soon as I have hotels booked.

Information is not forthcoming for a variety of reasons (not set, no medical release et al), none of them include, let's not release yet so "The Greek's" holiday plans are made more difficult.

That's why I kept mine......it's a ticket or money in the bank, either way is OK.
Sure, some individuals are harmed more than others by the postponement and that's a drag.
Non-refundable/changeable air, hotels, and 3rd party ticket holders to name just a few examples. But, you sound like a somewhat savvy buyer (negotiate fee down, re-list for no fee etc), and I consider myself also somewhat savvy, yet I chose the non-changeable airfare to NY (x3) because it was cheaper.
You went 3rd party because you wanted a particular seat real bad.
The risks weren't hidden, to act like there is some conspiracy now is not rational. The consequences of those choices have nothing to do with the band or promoter or Jet Blue or Stubhub et al.

You can also keep your tickets and wait for the new dates. You can also take your chance by getting more tickets for more shows (thats what i probably gonna do.. i did plan 3 shows for this year.. most likely this will become 5 to 6 shows next year ))

Exactly, I want to see the Stones, not get a refund and have to go through the ticket buying process again.
If the Stones do reschedule, they'll be the hottest ticket on the planet. The "ghoul factor" will be off the charts.

Stubhub is, in many ways, easier to deal with than TM. It's also guaranteed so there are no risks.
Face value means nothing when the market sets the prices.
Respectfully, (That's a theory) at this point.
When they reschedule this and the dust settles, I doubt they'll see any net gain. Most of the shows were at or near sellout level already, getting back to that level of sales may be a challenge.
Similar to the Vegas cancellation of the first show in '16, I suspect the uncertainty about wether the show will go on, will adversely affect sales. Perhaps there will be a small bump in sales from a "ghoul factor" but I doubt it.

I just think the new plan has been set but they will not release one thing until
Jagger is 100% released period. I don't know but I am sure there is a given time
frame to be released and it probably varies a few weeks. I also wonder if a body
can reject a replaced heart valve?

I see Greek's point..not ALL of us bought our expensive tickets from Ticketmaster....who will give a refund upon request. The seats I wanted for the Foxboro show were ALL SWEPT UP BY SCALPERS....AKA STUBHUB....so I am unable to get a refund unless the show on June 8 is cancelled, not simply " postponed"...We KNOW the Stones will NOT be at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro ( Boston) on June 8th but they are keeping my money in the event that the Stones select another date. If for some reason, I can't make that new date, tough crap for me....no refund! I then get to sell my ticket, the seller will NOT buy it back from me. I will NEVER buy from STUBHUB AGAIN! They also added a whopping $135 FEE on top of the already unreal scalp price! I told them NO WAY, and said I would not pay that $135....so they cut the " processing fee" in half....still a ridiculous EXTRA CHARGE! Oh, they were going to add insult to injury and CHARGE ME to list my ticket for sale on their site....such a class act that STUBHUB IS! Again, Iprotested so they said they'd list it FREE if that's what i want to do. I know my hassle is nothing compared to some who have other people tied to their plans but still, it is a headache. I may be selling my ROW 1 seat soon.

You can get a refund for any of the postponed shows right now, easy-peasy. Just contact Ticketmaster, it takes 2 days tops, then Voila! You can get on with your life! Again, easy-peasy.
You can also keep your tickets and wait for the new dates. You can also take your chance by getting more tickets for more shows
(thats what i probably gonna do.. i did plan 3 shows for this year.. most likely this will become 5 to 6 shows next year ))Menno

Always get your tix from ticketmaster (or whoever is the official promotor) or from the ticket trade section on this website (or shidobee) (or just on the street on the day of the show from another stones-fan (not from a scalper) (at face value).

Stubhub is, in many ways, easier to deal with than TM. It's also guaranteed so there are no risks.
Face value means nothing when the market sets the prices.

So, 74 pages and 1 month and 2 days on and the only facts we have are that he had a successful op a week later and is recovering well. That in itself is by far the most important thing but we're still no further forward on rescheduling.
His insurers, his doctors and his family will have the ultimate say on how matters proceed. Much as we're all fans and mad keen to see him, nothing has a higher value than health.

Respectfully, (That's a theory) at this point.
When they reschedule this and the dust settles, I doubt they'll see any net gain. Most of the shows were at or near sellout level already, getting back to that level of sales may be a challenge.
Similar to the Vegas cancellation of the first show in '16, I suspect the uncertainty about wether the show will go on, will adversely affect sales. Perhaps there will be a small bump in sales from a "ghoul factor" but I doubt it.
