Mick does not live in NYC. It is natural for him to "go home", to one of his residences. It's just a quick direct flight like 6h or so from NYC. I bet he does not sit in tourist class...

Myself I was looking into flying home during the tour from Pasadena and then back on tour for Santa Clara, just for four days at home. If I was rick and could do it on business class I would have done it, but I am not in that class.

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has told how he and bandmate Keith Richards are helping cheer up the band’s frontman Mick Jagger as he recovers from heart surgery. Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, the well-loved rocker reveals: "Sally and I went on a break to the Caribbean with Keith and (his wife) Patti and sent him videos of us playing and singing get well songs on the guitar." Adds Ronnie: "That cracked him up. We're all so pleased that he’s doing well."

I don't think Burl's Creek i.e. the Canada show is part of the original contract. It is probably a separate contract.

Because of this I wonder if this Canadian date is more likely to be performed
before the US dates or after the US dates. My guess is either the beginning or ending of the tour because of customs but maybe also due to a separate contract
as well. I just don’t know. However, late September or October may be risky due to the climate - so the beginning of the tour makes some sense.

I was only planning on doing the NYC and Chicago shows...and therefore I have NOT (yet) cancelled or changed any of my Air New Zealand airline tickets (I had no accommodation booked).

I can change or cancel my flights up to 24hrs before I'm due to fly in mid June, so will hold on to them until then because I still have a glimmer of hope that some of the later shows may still happen on the original dates. I have no concrete reason to believe otherwise. (I wont travel to the USA until the shows happen)

I believe Mick is healthy and recovering well - it will be close to the rumoured "3 month" recovery period. They had planned on doing 6 shows during the (unnamed "tour" of Desert Trip/Las Vegas), so why not another 6 gigs or so and have a mini tour...and maybe add a few of the other dates on in later June and July. Once again - they will have had 3 months to work on those logistics.

Of course it may not happen until 2020, in which case perhaps Japan/Oz/NZ can happen at the end of this year or early next :-)

Agree. Then the LEAST likely of the four possibilities might be to perform the
Canadian date someplace within the sequence of the US dates instead of at the beginning or at the end or not at all.

They also performed the one Canadian date at the end of their 2015 Zip Code tour. I’m not sure if they have done so on previous tours. I suspect, in this case, there is a logistical reason for ending in Canada.

The fact that he left the area and the country all together is a very strong indication that his doctors / surgeons and the hospital specialist folks feel he is out of the woods as per his surgery.

Probably hear of a tour reschedule in the next two or three weeks (<tops). You know more than I ..but that is my guess.

Canada needs to be at the beginning or end to simplify border crossing of all the gear and Keith.
