^^ Deadly lightning is a critical threat in Florida, which some say is the "Lightning Capital of the World" (it's certainly the deadliest lightning state in the USA).
And if you survive the lightning and oppressive heat and humidity, cheer up -- it's the heart of hurricane season. The statistical peak of hurricane season is September 10. The white-knuckled terrorizing threat of the dangerous part of hurricane season is the 60 days from the 3rd week of August to the 3rd week of October. During that time, even with improved predictions, you could be 3-5 days from a devastating storm that could disrupt life in a region far bigger than the actual hurricane path.
Welcome to Florida in August, September and early October.

At this rate, Doom and Gloom will be the opener.

What are folks' opinions on whether the Canadian gig will happen?
"The List" doesn't show it, nor have room to schedule it in there...
I have a Gold Circle ticket, and was lookin' forward to it. I dug the Gold Circle last summer. Plus, bein' the last show was a big bonus...
I hope they find a way for this one...

I am very concerned about the weather in Florida. I sincerely wish they'd do their Florida gigs at the end of the tour. Even October is iffy but September...not a good choice.
Not ideal but the chance for a hurricane in that precise location on that exact date is extremely small.
There’s a bigger chance of the drunk sitting next to you causing more disruption. That’s stuff to worry about

Also might annoy some who have cancelled plans due to the postponement announcement.

But if there is a hurricane moving in the direction of Florida - it would be crazy to setup the stage and encourage fans to travel to the area.

If people with tickets for the Canada show received emails telling them the show was postponed, and then they receive emails saying that it's not postponed after all and is still taking place on the same day, then said people would be justified in being a lot more than annoyed.

True.
Went to the San Francisco Licks show that almost got canceled due to storms that almost turned into the first hurricane there in decades. Half the power was out the day before, but the show went on (and the weather turned beautiful just before showtime).
Mick even thanked the crew for being able to get the stage up during all that.

Funny you say this, when I saw them in Pittsburgh a few years back there was torrential rain before the show. Really bad. Just before they came on, out came a double rainbow!!

Yes, it did.
That said, Pittsburgh was the shakiest show I'd seen them do in decades. I talked to a cop the evening before who said the Stones were flying in on Saturday afternoon. If they flew through that weather they'd be nervous wrecks. I don't think they were able to sound check.

They sounded just fine to me!

Mick should take at least 6 months before returning. His is a grueling job even just a dozen dates. I am a fan and love him.

So we have 3 possible outcomes:
Fall 2019 tour, or,
they say 2020 Spring stay tuned for dates, or,
Mick says adios amigos free, free at last.

Only 18 days since Mick's heart surgery.
Looks like we'll hear this week about the rescheduled dates, but damn people are impatient.
Doubtful docs would even consider issuing a clean bill of health earlier than this for the tour.
