not necessarily.. have you been through a procedure lately... its not like the ole days were they had you lay around for days and days,,

docs now, are kicking your ass out of bed and getting you moving ASAP.

if the procedure goes well(there is always a caveat), he will be up and at it in no time

The Mail is trash, but they're just reporting what Drudge is, who is also a piece of human trash. But, he does get celebrity stuff right occasionally.

Just want to wish eternal good health to Mick. And if he is getting a heart valve procedure done, then 100% success and a quick recovery.

I am also skeptical about Drudge Report.

I am 57 and I have done a lot of caffeine in my life.and I smoked 1 cigarette a day for like 20 years. and really it was only one a day. I kid you not.
okay. so I got high blood pressure and they found an an arrhythmia on my ekg which required an ablation I.e,, a laser burn of the electricity pipe that runs around the edge of your heart valves that gets clogged up and throws your electricy off. and they put two holes in my groin (both legs) and run the laser line up to the heart. after which I had to lie still for 12 hours to avoid blood clots and I had the feeling of a burning sensation like I had been lasered in the heart so I was very slow and tired for approx. 1 month afterward. told no cheese, no cigarettes, preferably no alcohol and if I kept doing caffeine I would end up having to come back. So I would think with a valve replacement that the recuperation period would be longer for sure especially at age 75.

okay well if it is just a stent. they only keep you in the hospital for a week at most but if you have had a heart attack causing you to have to have the stent, you are very tired and need to rest all the time during recuperation. see. eg., my stepmother.

yeah I see daily trash & ny post are quoting drudge. Seen anything from NPR for instance? At the same time I tend to believe mr.Spendel more than them!

Sure, if you keep repeating the same thing over and over, eventually someone will believe it.

Drudge or fudge seems to be unreliable.

I would be very surprised if it is a heart valve or a stent. I would imagine they would cancel the tour. There are no guarantees with this type of procedure that the patient is going to be ready in 2 or 3 months to start running around stadiums belting out his lungs. Mick is not a super human as much as we want to believe it. A 75 year old man is not going to be guaranteed a perfect recovery.

Working in health insurance myself I cannot see the insurers agreeing to him rescheduling dates easily unless they agree with a big fat exclusion and it comes out of his pocket if he dropped down dead. If its heart related then a 6 month delay as a minimum subject to tests. Otherwise it must be something more minor but more than a muscle strain. It would also be bad if they reschedule for 3 months from now, then hes still not ready and they have to reschedule again.

this whole deal is so upsetting, i'm not getting updates in regular fashion due to work responsibilities and peeking in when I can...
...so i'm rollicking between not knowing anything; then reassurances from various quarters dismissing the severity and significance of this 'condition,' as i'm now vaguely understanding; not an 'incident' of pulls, or strains or joint cartilage, all of which are being discussed and are the purview of professional dancers and athletes who demand a lot out of themselves as a performance vehicle; and are, in fact, common and usually not near permanently crippling with PT and other training...
...so the tour was postponed and then news of it being picked up again this year, and then some fool on youtube is titlimg a video 'critical condition' 'rushed to hospital' and what with the violence porn and sensationalist exploitative nature of social media and also network and independent news sources...it's become such a confusing upsetting mess; now this with understanding that our lad is the one with a crucible right here.
he's fascinating standing in one spot; whatever however or not i don't care.
the guy should rest easy not stress it; when he feels like it, and up to it, he'll do what he does....i don't know how to quite deal with this in a dignified and respectful manner. i've lost a lot of friends, we as a culture have, with Tom Petty recently and alla that; much younger than our Old Lions; neither am i wringing emotion out of this; they are tough customers and Charlie probably will also be a comfort to him.
I wish Mick the very best always. the man has jack shit nothing to prove to anyone...he's Mick and he'll be back; i especially hope insurance doctors are hard on him; and i think they should receive respect for catching a diagnosis not showing up, apparently, in MJ's physicals previously; which is RECENTLY.
Mick some of your people and BV for sure reads this and can tell you;
most of us just want you to be well, period. That's 100% what it's about for me; the guy takes it easy on himself; and has a good attitude toward a gentle progressive healing it does not matter how long that takes to fans who love you.

Matt Drudge is almost certainly correct. Last I heard, he lives on Miami Beach and is very well connected around town. Even if he doesn't still live there, his contacts are rock solid. Mick's having valve replacement surgery.

You people need to brace yourselves for the possibility that the tour won't begin until 2020, if at all.

If all goes well and they announce the new tour dates - maybe they will replace the Jazzfest with a 3-night-stint at MSG. How about that?
