I do not want to speculate, but due to the information we have (that Mick will need "medical treatment" and that they already rehearsed), I don't think he is simply ill like having a cold or something. If he had, 3 weeks would be probably enough to recover. Also if he would have streched something too far during the training, he could do the Shows while seating. A seated Mick Jagger would be strange but I do not think the insurance companys would allow to cancle the shows if he could still perform while seating (although that's not my businesses).
He must have got health problems during the rehearsal, so it could be voice problems. But if so, I would guess not just laryngitis but some heavier problems. Many vocalists in his Age like Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler, they all had operations on the vocal chords. And I thought that for the most part the 2018 tour, Mick had problems with his voice. Listen to Prague for example. So that's not impossible...

The pre-tour check is usually before the tour is announced. In 2017 the No filter tour should have been from May on but it wasn't announced because of Rons lung cancer that was noticed during the check-up. Then it started in September. So this was rather noticed at the rehearsals.

Thanks shattered - 30 minutes or so in from hearing the bad news, and now caught up to this thread up to this point with my mind scrambling what to do.
As per your username I'm a bit 'shattered' right now - more so for others than myself though, and especially/mostly worried and concerned about Mick.

Pondering what to do.................

I have a couple of pairs of Lucky Dips for a couple of shows, and some seats for the Rose Bowl - think I'll hold on to them for the time being. But also have non-refundeable hotels in Santa Clara and Glendale that I'll have to write off - thankfully relatively cheap via priceline express. Ironically I'm in Vegas right now, and while not much of a gambler, I won a massive amount of money yesterday - some of it on a Rolling Stones slot machine ha- enough to pay for everything I spent for the upcoming tour and more. But no celebrating those big wins for the time being....kind of bummed out right now....feeling bad for others....

First and foremost though - GET WELL MICK!

Hope he is ok. Sounds promising .. but age has been catching up with them for the last few years now. Hope it's nothing serious. It doesn't seem as though it is being as the tour is simply postponed .. not canceled. If it was canceled that would mean it more serious. Hoping for the best to him health wise .. not so much on account of any tour .. though I do understand .. just as per health wise.

If they cannot keep June dates then this has to be a late July early August at best restart. NFL preseason schedule is not out yet but usually starts around August 10 or so so rescheduling NFL football stadiums becomes more difficult, weekends tough, stadiums with grass fields off limits, etc. Some stadiums may be easier to reschedule like the Rose Bowl, although they have a grass field to deal with.

Then you have the southern cities Miami, Houston, Phoenix etc to be at a concert in a stadium in August can be brutal, of course you can say the same about Chicago etc. depending on weather. Guessing as mentioned by others Northern cities fist then southern cities last.

Hoping for the best.

Heat shouldn't be too big an issue, assuming these shows are at night. Houston and Phoenix have retractable roofs. Looks like some of the others don't though.

Something can happen in the course. Probably they have pre-check closer to tour start and something was found. Hopefully nothing serious.

That sounds feasible. The 1981 tour began in Philadelphia on 25th September.

My ONLY concern if for MICK'S HEALTH, not the tour or $$, but I just wish they could have provided a bit more info at the start so as to not worry all of us to DEATH! If he has nodules on his throat, needs a quick surgery please do tell....why the secretiveness which only leads to a ton of speculation? If, GOD FORBID, it's worse, wouldn't the tour just be cancelled outright? No need to keep it under wraps because these things have a way of leaking anyway. PLEASE JUST BE OK, MICK! I hope that Mick reads these posts and can feel the love and prayers being sent his way, and to know that all we want is for his health to be fully restored. He is a HUGE part of our lives, feels like a family member in many ways. God Speed & please get well!

Feel sorry for all the people effected by this news.

I respect the sentiment that "Health is private". However, thousands of people are affected by this announcement and are now on eggshells as to what their options are. As it is, there is really no information other than Mick is ill and will need time to recover. If it is true that the insurance physicals take place before the tour is announced, then either something was missed at that time or something has occurred or been discovered very recently. The scant information can only fuel suppositions as to what is wrong. In any case, I am sending all good wishes to the best frontman ever and hopefully we'll get good news sooner than later. Get well, Mick!
