I know about the Beatles attempt to record in Memphis Stax studios. It failed for several reasons...
But have the Stones ever had anything to do with those studios ?
We all know some Stax covers by the Stones...

I'm reading Memphis 68 - The tragedy of Southern Soul, a part of a trilogy by Stuart Cosgrove about soul music, very interesting. The Stones are often cited as part of that groups that covered Stax music but never visited or recorded there.
