Ethan Russell Kickstarter Campaign

His work includes some of Rock's most iconic and historic images, including the Through the Past Darkly album cover, which marked the last time all five original Rolling Stones were photographed together.

Good luck to him! The "level 16" option is mouth-watering if you can afford it...

Definitely some great (best) photos by him. Anyone knows this project the only way to get this book, or is this the only way to get it?

stating the obvious, the guy took amazing pics. The onstage one of the 5 stones in 72 with Mick in the blue jumpsuit. . . . the energy is all there.

OMG I have always liked his pics a lot, Marshall too. But Ethan seemed to have been everywhere in the Golden Years of Rock , at the very top.

His Linda Ronstadt Hasten Down the Wind cover photo is simply stunning.
I'm on the list.

Check it out if you haven't already...
Kickstarter is an 'all or nothing' fundraising platform so I hope he reaches his goal and this book becomes a reality.

Ethan Russell has tweaked the rewards a bit and lowered the price of a few...
including the huge "Patience Please" print.

18 days to go in the Kickstarter campaign and he's gonna need some help...

I just saw this and I admit I don't have the whole picture. Unless we donate x amount of dosh, he won't go ahead with this book. I thought that's what venture capitalists and underwriters were for, to front the money to create a project for a guaranteed percentage of the profits.

Imho he got semi-burnt with the "LIB" book about the 1969 tour. I mean it was offered it at a ridiculous high price regarding the number of copies printed.

Said differently, it was positioned at a "Genesis Publications" pricing but with the circulation of a normal photobook (1800 copies or so) = it couldn't sell and it didn't.

Apparently Russell is still stuck with most of the printing which he's trying to get rid of at a BIG discount price (200$ instead of the o.r.p. of 650$).

So for this one he takes no risks and puts it on the shoulders of the investors.

Fully funded so the book will be published...
Open for only a few more hours if anyone wants to still get in and pre-order.

Hi Kurt
I have this book and l unfortunately paid top price for it,
It is better than all the genesis publications Boksburg l have, including Exile and TOTA Deluxe.
I do hate to see these collectors editions reduced so heavily, hence why l will not be purchasing this one.

Agreed on so many levels. I wish Mr. Russell well.

I've alwways wondered... Aside from the cover, are there any differences between the LIB book (where the cover is Mick's hat atop roses) versus this one with a live shot?
