I don't trust modern pop music. Are there real musicians involved? Do the singer really sing? Are the computer wizards both the composers and musicians to modern day radio hits?
And why were Milli Vannili punished when the whole industry is fake?

The Cure's performance from the R&R Hall of Fame was impressive and quite passionate. Robert Smith's voice is impressive.

I had the privilege of seeing Margo Price a couple of years back - a great artist. Very pleasantly surprised.

Moon Taxi is the most underrated band of today. Go discover them if you haven't already.

Willie Nelson is country music's Keith Richards.

Music is less and less irrelevant to a mass audience. It's more segregated than ever. Most old folks don't want to hear new music. The idea of actual people performing their songs on actual instruments, without autotune, seems passe.

The first two albums by any band are no match for the two albums released by Joy Division.

Agreed — with one exception.

Same goes for Led Zeppelin.

Sorry, but that is ignorant and an insult to all the musicians that are still making relevant music. There‘s more music around than ever and just as much of it is played on instruments. Listen to Altin Gün or Sault for example. And also in the mainstream there many artists that are fantastic instrumentalists. Anderson.paak is one example.
And the argument that that there are „real“ instruments and „fake“ instruments doesn‘t make sense anyway. Instruments are just as much a human invention as are computers. Sound synthesis has now been around for decades! Time to get used to it. Because it is the artists choice what kind of sound best conveys their message and a „fake“ instrument as you‘d call it or sound generation might be the only thing able to produce the sound that the artist has got in his head. And auto-tune as a way to hide bad singers is just a phenomenon with the hyper-commercialised, industry-planted artists, that has got more to do with capitalism kidnapping art and putting people on the market just to make money than more people not being able to sing than back in the 70s. For the rest, auto tune it‘s just a stylistic choice, like other vocal effects, Flangers, Phasers, Vocoders ect.

Slightly different but my observation is that there are no bad tracks on both travelling wilburys albums imho

"$15 used to seem like an expensive concert ticket, now it's the price of a beer"

Also,

"Don't buy the album if there's only one song on it you like, buy the greatest hits"

Ok both kinda negative, so:

"The opening riff of The Last Time can transform your life the first time you hear it"

Many favourites end of the line, handle with care, you’re not alone… also the tweeter and the monkey man for Bob Dylan’s great voice..
I think the whole wilburys project a great pleasure to listen to!!

If you want to listen to popular music from the 60s and 70s these days you're referred to streaming. At least if you listen to SR (public service, Swedish Radio). P4 Play it is.
80s pop has kind of become the new 60s for regular radio listeners. Older than that - look for an app, or a museum...

There will come a point in human history where nobody on the planet will have ever heard of Elvis, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin.
