I really have to give a thumbs up on both comments: twin lead guitars with Peter Green and Danny Kirwin, and , of course , “Ya-ya’s. If I were to name two albums) from my shortlist of guitar influences, these would be at the top.

Most of the money I spend going to concerts is to see artists in their 60's 70's and 80's.

My musical observation is "I want a new Les Paul , because Les Paul's are like potato chips you can't just eat one "

You are spot on - I have 4 guitars no Les Paul's though ( 1 Gibson, 1 12 string Yamaha and 2 Takamine.

The old Gibson slogan comes to mind at this moment which is "Only a Gibson is Good Enough". One time a fella here at work came in with a Les Paul copy and a punk/kid told him the slogan and you should have seen the guy's face turn red with anger .True story !

Jen Turner's guitar tone on Natile Merchant's Tigerlily is amazing - what a duo when they played Wonder live - Jen's guitar tone and Natile's amazing voice that combo was amazing in the 90's. Jen is still playing small gigs I think in the NY area.

Just read a book in one sitting called "Wolf in a white van", which was pretty intense. Won a few awards. It was written by the main guy in the Mountain Goats. Once I heard that a lot made sense.

Faces and Cheap Trick are underrated.

Grateful Dead is overrated.

I hate when you learn a new song on guitar and can play all parts except that one killer chord and my luck its the opening intro on Under My Bridge. My fingers are to small to play that D chord - on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th fret - I can,t stretch my pinky to hit that 5th fret on 5th string.

John Frusciante guitar work on Stadium Arcadium has to be the best studio work over the last 15 years oy any guitarist. Wet Sand, Strip My Mind, and Hey - are all cosmic constructed solos - that's so cool the way John develops each solo.

Fascinating novel. His UNIVERSAL HARVESTER is arguably even better.

thanks - I can get there but that 5th string on 5th fret is always muted and do not get a clear d note - on acoustic - im sure I can get if I had an electric guitar handy - that intro is so inconic at gets you into the groove and feel of the song.

Black Sabbaths are Criminally underrated and Bill Ward / Geezer Butler were a better rhythm section than Zeppelins. (That’s my observation for today)

If you want to play 'Angie' on acoustic like the record, you better rehearse 'a lot' in front of Stones fans. Midimannz thumbs up tonight

I never heard nothing from Peter Wolf.
Today i have made a random listening on spotify. It has been almost two hours of pleasure. Every song was a gem. Much better music than last Rolling Stones albums from last 30 years. Maybe the kind of music and guitar tone that i expect from the Rolling

I generally like Kacey Musgraves but I think "Golden Hour" is highly overrated and one of the weakest albums to ever win "Album of the Year" at the Grammy Awards.

Play it and it'll make sense. Pianos they make more sense than guitars. Though I'm a guitar boy...

I' have decided to sell most of my decent guitars, and get only 2-5 really good ones.

That sounds like a great plan to downsize your collection - I keep my old Takamine
by my side and a few others.

Rock of the Westies is my favorite Elton John album...
"Medley (Yell Help/Wednesday Night/Ugly)" hooks me everytime and I'm along for the ride.

Yep. Mine, too. Davey Johnstone is vastly underrated as a guitarist.
