if you fail to notice Mick's switch from "Keef's my bro" (late 60's) to "Keef's my main source of troubles" (late 70's) well...

I don't knw when that transition exactly happened, but I think that in 1977-78 when Keith was more or less determined to stop using heroin that Mick was still connected to him. When Keith replaced that habit with heavy alcohol usage Mick gave up on him. I believe there is a reason they didn't get into the studio after ER and the 1981 tour was so unhappy for Mick.
Just conjecture, of course.

That is an unusual capture of the band...

January 10-12, 1977: At Aylesbury Crown Court in London, England, Keith Richards is tried for possession of LSD and cocaine. Mick Jagger and John Phillips are in attendance. Keith Richards pleads not guilty and is found not guilty of possession of LSD but guilty of possession of cocaine. He is fined but no jail sentence is given.

some great pics, amazing to believe that jagger and richards had first met around 30 years earlier, at primary school.

not many folk get their pic taken at primary school together(with someone in between) and go on to form a formidable partnership in a professional capacity for over 50 years.

they were also one apart in the school register

Aylesbury's nearly 50 miles from London. It's closer to Oxford.
