My advice look at side routes if you can

Downtown Barrie has this on the west end of the strip on Dunlop St...It has more to do with the wings...but hey, it's part of the theme!

Thanks for the warning, coming up from Buffalo tonight. Either going to delay leaving until much later this evening or remain in Toronto for several hours. Having this on Canada Day weekend when everyone and their brother is going to cottage country, ugh. Your best guess, leaving Toronto at midnight - could it clear up?

our BEER is stronger!!!!

You mean it USED to be stronger. The craft-beer world has made sure that we are now acclimated to 8 - 12% abv for breakfast lol

If you leave buffalo after 8 would be perfect.

Toronto after 10 would be fine.

Lots of boats and trailers be hauled up the hiway.

We're staying at the lovely Econo Lodge about 20km sw of the venue. Leaving Toronto after 10 sounds great - we'll head to Toronto shortly and have a bite and take our time before the second leg. Thanks for the tip!

I was going to venture up.

However I'm guessing the usual 20 minute drive would have been at least hour and half

I am sitting on Lake Simcoe right now. Just a one hour walk to the venue.
I'm so happy I left Toronto at noon, the 400 was relatively a dream.

I left the Hampton in Barrie at 735 and I was at Burl’s Creek within 15 minutes... easy, really. The heavy traffic got up to speed by the next exit it seemed.

This place is huge! Drove down Lines 7 & 9 both and you can only see the stage and grandstands from a distance. No real photo ops to be had. Guess I’ll get my steps in tomorrow! They have a big marquee that I want a shot of... maybe tmrw...

the fan in that interview, I meet him and his friend Charlie in east side marios in Barrie Friday afternoon

they were talking stones and I joined their conversation, we enjoyed a few beers, showed them some pictures of Chicago backstage( owner of where I work was backstage)

Had a smooth drive into Barrie last night going secondary country route. Downtown Barrie has a Stones Marquee for the show in the entertainment district. Looking forward to a great day and hope everyone attending has a blast!

Box office opened at 9am, anyone know if this includes Lucky Dip pickup?

Can someone please post info about how the Lucky Dip system is operating at Burl's Creek. Are they putting wristbands on you at the box office?
