If they want to move tickets, it’d be wise to have places to stay w/ shuttles running available for customers.
Of course I could be wrong and Toronto locals/ surrounding areas buy up all the tickets for their long Holiday weekend.

Lookin' at the info on Burl's Creek a little closer, the event FAQ links show doors at 2pm, showtime at 6pm... so maybe 1 or 2 openers maximum, I'd guess.

Parking opens at 11am with food and washrooms available.

Kind of disappointing. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive (161 miles) from Buffalo on a normal travel day. But if you are in Toronto it is a letdown. Plus, those festival shows are a big hassle. Way too many people, lose your spot to take a leak, concessions a mile away, and this show is in the boonies with restrictions. And, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic. Too bad for Toronto.

But hey, Buffalo is still available for a cozy stadium show with tons of tailgating for Canadians.

I agree x 1000%. I Can’t remember the last time I missed a Toronto Stones show, but I went from beyond excited to deciding not to go in 48 hours. I guess I’d suck it up and go if I weren’t hitting a bunch already. It would be better if you could arriv a day before and set up camp on site

Odd they're not offering camping. Traffic in and out of Desert Trip was hellish even with camping. Thankfully the shuttle service was great with many routes and stops throughout the entire Coachella Valley.
Also with hundreds of nearby hotels and motels (some within walking distance) there were plenty of options to avoid the traffic. Hoping Burl's Creek can manage it all in a similar manner for those who attend.

I think it was this past Friday or Saturday I was surfing through the channel guide and I spotted a surprising broadcast on CFTO (Canadian station) which was airing the The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America in prime time. I forgot to watch it. Maybe, it was a teaser of things to come.

There is always room for Canada on Stones tours. In the middle of the European Tour 2003 they flew out of Prague to perform in front of a record crowd of 450,000 fans at SarsStock, then back for the rest of the European tour.

Not having to bring your stage for a festival concert helps.

If memory serves, I believe Neil Young and the Real played Burl's Creek a few years back in the height of summer at a weekend long festival. Don't know how that went down other than to recall that the locals were not in favor.
Also, on another note and relating to accommodation, the Casino Rama casino, not far away in Orillia, is a fairly upscale spot with all the amenities you'd expect from a casino at reasonable prices and, if you are a Burton Cummings fan, he is appearing there on June 28 and June 29.

No b-stage. Same layout as the other shows.

Given the venue it's a bonus they are doing the stadium setup. I was prepared for much more of a field setup, so this looks good.

This looks like the Letnany Airport setup in Prague. Circle of Gold was really good. I recorded from the tip of the L, not too crowded, good sound and easy in and out. The openers will have to be better though.

Is it possible to walk back to Barrie from Burls Creek after the show? Or is it just a large freeway connecting Barrie?

I’m not positive, but know that area reasonably well... There may be some side roads but it is located on a major highway. Sideroads would not be lit, it will be late and far to walk. Look for shuttles that should run to some hotels. Even if not staying there, you could get a taxi or Uber. Or rent a car and drive like the rest of us poor suckers...

Hej Jeppe! I am also thinking about travelling from Sweden for this one... Are you going alone? I am travelling from Stockholm.

The shuttle option from Orillia is your best bet. The majority of people will be driving North from Toronto rather than South West from Orillia.
