What would they do?
Would they want to do one continent at a time in the year?
Would they do multiple continents in a year?

God knows if they'll ever release it. Right before the U.S. Tour would make the most sense. It's what they usually did in the past, but jeez, they've been sitting on this thing so long, I think they're losing their nerve.

I read the Stones are want a great album. I guess it's not there yet.

It takes way to long to get a new album from the band anymore. I was glad to get a couple of new tracks from Grrr!

In times gone by it would have been an absolute disaster not to have a pending new album ready to tour with .

Now its just a case of "never mind...we'll get around to it ".

Just shows how times have changed and where the money is today.

[In fact it's just occurred to me that back in the 70's there wasn't much difference between the cost of an album and a concert ticket !

That kind of says it all really doesn't it ]

Same touring format they've been using since 2012.

Since there is no new album... the same as they have been for however long it's been: touring on their legacy, not creativity.

What? We know how they tour. Like they have been. 14 shows. Then they decide if they want to do another. Unrelated to any new recordings they may release. Completely.

Agreed. When the new album finally is finished and released, the most we could hope for is a Fonda Theater-type gig where they play a good chunk of the album. Other than that, maybe two songs a night for whatever future gigs there may be ahead (if any).

If we say No Security tour was part of BTB album, then the first tour without an album backing was Licks Tour - basically when a new album became irrelevant.

I thought he said pending new album. The point is they dont need a new album to support in order to have a great tour. They had lots of old stuff in 75 including lorr and ghs. And now, new material is totally irrelevant to a tour

Well a version of Exile on Main Street signed by the band would probably cost what a ticket costs but I digress.
