Three Ball Charlie is a mighty image! I still remember puzzling over the face with three balls in the mouth on what must have been advertising posters of Exile, found on every advertising column in town in the early Summer of 1972 in the place where I lived as a kid.

It was many years later only that I found out that what I had seen then was the cover of Exile...

Pretty amazing. This thread, and the work you're doing Schillid has moved way beyond a Stones album cover. A most amazing piece of photography, but I think it takes someone willing to take on the history displayed.
Finding the stunning image of Lucrecia Bethencourt for her daughter today, seems very rewarding.

A month ago I had a glance at this thread. Last night it became (much) more than a glance!
Schillid, this is history in the make!!! Amazing research! Once "completed" you and all others being part of the research process should make it into an official publication. It really deserves a place in the Rolling Stones history survey.

I truly hope this reaches as far as Mick, Keith and/or Charlie (!). Someone must get it thru!
