I suspect the remastering will be just fine and we'll all regret that the Stones didn't use the same approach instead of brickwalling (rather ironic considering Don Was's story about how BLUE AND LONESOME came about).

As for the Sessions bonus disc, I imagine we'll all say it's too short and why couldn't we have had the full hour (or even the full six hours). However, the powers that be are fans like us and do the best they can within the paramters they're given.

It's a great album. This looks like a nice reissue. I expect to enjoy it just like I did 30 years and 3 months ago.

Thanks for defending me Rocky. I think that's the first political type comment I've ever made here and I'm amused at the responses. The Stones are not fond of Trump.

Depends if you count the "Ultradisc II limited edition 24-karat gold-plated" version issued in '92. Anyone ever listened to that one? To me those "Ultradiscs" always seemed more hype than substance.

Nice, maybe Bootsy is on that piece. So assuming tracks 1 and 5 are extended jams we should easily be over 30 minutes.

Haven't a clue about "Slim" and "Brute Force."

I don't think "Slim" is country. I don't think Keith attempted any country numbers with The Winos or the funk players for that album. Likely the top line is something like "the chances were slim."
