I see the RBC Ottawa Bluesfest runs from 4th to 14th July...

Who has attended this over the years? Any chance The Rolling Stones could headline a night for the 25th anniversary edition?

I've heard of it before, didn't Mick Taylor do a gig there 10-15 years ago? Then I had heard about the storm that went through during the Cheap Trick set, too...

And BV will lay it on us when he's ready, whatever the rumor is!

They're going to need 75k+ to justify trucking all that gear up there.

The issue I have, as I am sure many of you do, is that once you've been to so many shows, you don't want these large festival-like shows anymore.

Of course the Stones, with limited time left, only want to play large venues.

I am now. After initially going in the huff for not scoring any Lucky Dips, I’m travelling to Boston and the 2 New York shows, which will take my lifetime gig count to a nice round 40. Amazing how a yucky depressing British Winter serves as a cue to book a holiday I scored an amazing cheap flight deal with Virgin 2 weeks ago so that clinched the deal. £277 return ><

Just got to sort out tickets now. It will either be late Lucky Dips or last gasp bargains. Or spare Dips if anyone has one.

I was last over there for the 1st 2 shows of Licks in 2002, both in Boston. After that I did a mini tour of Canada, visiting Toronto and Montreal. I much preferred Toronto.
