One of my favourite contributions from Doxa, is when I started a sort-of ‘Big Hits’ and ‘Through The Past Darkly’ ‘appreciation thread’ Our Finnish friend went on a real deep-dive into all aspects of the compilation and the differences between the Decca and London versions, Goodness, that must have been back in 2013, or so.

It's cold outside. Nice to be back in.

Thank you for your solidarity. I try not to talk that that much about winter sports in future. More about the Stones, though.

Relieved to see you back in!

Now happening to enter this thread of veteran posters, I must say that I have not seen any posts by georgie48 since approximately June last year. The question arises: Is all well? I hope so!

He lived in Japan - [iorr.org] - maybe there're more important things for him now.

Good to have you back, Doxa. I think you made the shortest ban ever on this forum...

Apologies because this must have been posted before, but I just discovered this is what happened to Stonesrule. RIP

I think we had a RIP thread back when Sharon passed. At least it didn't go unnoticed.

Miss her and her great stories.

I also remember reading here about Sharon's passing.

She is very much missed. I did communicate with her for a while and she was very pleasant. I'd have loved to meet her in person, which unfortunately I didn't.

Thanks for posting her obituary, Aqua! I'm sorry you only knew what happened to her now. I remember some recollections between you and Sharon about those legendary 1966 concerts that both of you attended in London, it was always a joy to read them.

I remember always having great exchanges here on IORR. When I saw her name in response to my comments I knew it was going to be good. In particular I recall her calling John Lennon my friend and went on to talking about some antics he was involved in. She must of been quite a gal.

I must have completely missed the news when it was posted here before, unfortunately.

Sharon and I had some fun phone conversation about those days in London, and then when I was visiting northern California once, I flew down to LA and spent the day with Sharon. She was quite a character, and she took me to many Stones-related places, such as Sunset Sound. She was a lovely lady, with many many stories, but she had a vintage car with no air conditioning, and was a terrible driver! We careened down Sunset Strip heading for the Chateau Marmont, with me wondering if it could get any hotter while fearing for my life. Ah, memories . .

Craig who posted in the trade board only as Shattered78 passed away in early 2022.

He may have had other names in the far distant past. We might have traded once or twice when I asked him if he was going to Vegas Feb 2003. He offered me a ride to PHX and I accepted. Helluva adventure.

Stayed pretty close even when he moved back home to Las Cruces.

Thought it odd that I hadn't talked to him in a few years and that he didn't respond to my emails offering him Lucky Dips plus ones to Houston and AZ so I searched and found out he died 2 years prior.

Also Sam Fisher / kriffhard on Shidoobee and Undercover (not sure about here) passed away after an emergency trip to the hospital he made just after picking up the email with the Mick Jagger pic and other stuff I sent him in early 2025

YEAH ....Wheres Treacle ??????

Really Kinda miss his dad jokes ....

Damn you Rockman, they are not dad jokes.

They are finely honed-expertly crafted and executed slices of pure chortle-worthy dialogue.

What happened to Treacle??

He was both a long time and frequent poster who suddenly disappeared. There are several other posters on this board from the Vancouver area where i believe Treacle was from. Perhaps one of them might know?

I simply don’t think it a coincidence that he stopped posting when his thread was closed. I may be wrong, but that’d be my bet. It’s a shame he couldn’t hang around.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the shout out. Sometimes rather than complain about a difference in "opinion" you just need to take a very long and deep breath, partially asphyxiate yourself, gasp for more air, and then realize there are worse things than having a difference of opinion.

It is! It's from 2013, I think. I found it quite recently.

The more I dig into IORR.org, the more I get how deep in complexity and Stones knowledge this forum is.
The Stones are bigger than Mick and Keith, and I woud say IORR is bigger than BV. A wonderful offspring, a sort of life accomplishment. Bravo Bjornulf.
I never try to know posters' real identity.
But IORR is fantastic channel to get acquainted, if you give also in return (which I did't)
Had the pleasure to interview Ronnie Schneider for music print thanks to this channel.
Turd and Baboon were funny characters indeed.
What happens to that vet Lady in Chicago?
