Disagreement as such is not negativity, it's all a matter of how one puts an opinion into words. For instance, instead of "this or that is total sh*t" one could also say, "I am very disappointed in ..." and don't become personal.
I know that emotions sometimes can take over (we're all human after all), but the "preview" option helped me a lot (sometimes not using it made me regret it afterwards)

Glad to know he is OK - at the moment, unexplained absences are worrying. I for one miss his posts - always knowledgeable and with something interesting to say.
I agree 100% Georgie! Some people (they know who they are) just can't refrain from giving other members bad names and often being outright rude towards fellow IORRians. They just don't know how to be polite unfortunately. One can talk in broad terms and use a colourful language about Music and different artists in general but don't jump at fellow members on this forum.

I totally understand his point about the negativity. I'm amazed at how quickly things can escalate and get ugly around here. I rarely ever post because of that. You stick your neck out with an opinion and people are just waiting to chop your head off.

but its only virtual chopping of heads, I would hope most would be mature enough to see the reality there. Everyone has an opinion, its just that some's opinion is more informed than others.
I personally hope to hear more from him, Rocky I mean, I enjoyed his posts and thought he had a lot of knowledge and info to add. But if it don't work for him, more power to him doing it anyway it suits him.
