Okay, it's 2020 now and time to update this thread. Where did MRS50 (or HMS or whichever nick he used) go? I miss him. He had a great sense of humor.
And he really stood up for "Dirty Work" when no one else did. Kind of a modern day Stones intellectual. I think he would perk up this forum. Did he disappear with the October moon?

I think he got banned for a short while, then never came back, as far as I know. According to some, he had a bit of a troll like attitude. Obviously he liked to defend impopular views, which I thought was nice. Better do that, than be a know-it-all, ordaining which music we should be permitted to like and which not, as some other people here sometimes to do.

Sure, Someguy. He was a bit of a troll. But a good one. Not the evil type. And, may I say, an entertainer. He made me laugh...

Hey all,
I used to see a post by Rocky nearly every day. I haven't seen one in quite a while now. Hoping everything is okay. Anyone know?

I heard from RD a couple weeks ago...he seems fine.

I received a beautiful email from him some weeks ago that I was surprised and very happy to get.
Really learned a lot from Rocky and miss him here tons. His insights and steady presence were a big attraction here for me personally.
When things calm down I'm going to beg his indulgence and write back again.
super guy. Come to think of it, I'm gonna get back in touch with him soon.

bring him back!

Perhaps it's one of those things along the lines of:

He's taking a break

Perhaps it's similar to the carbon dioxide count

Maybe he's bored with it all

Deep down he's more damaged than the heaviest of Stones fans by HONK being released

he could be on a break. if he comes to a bridge, i'd like to come in on the chorus.

I suspended him from the group for a while. I determined that he wasn't agreeing with me enough so I told him to take some time off and think about things.

Har-har. In seriousness I do miss his insight (it was always darn good). I am
glad he is ok and I look forward to him deciding to hop back on.

Had contact with Rocky a few days ago ….

Basically said he was tired of fighting the negativity
that has seeped into IORR ….. still keeps an eye on us
all but at this stage has no real desire to post anything....

But give him time ...He's a good lad and I reckon
with a little gentle persuasion I can jimmy-bar him back....

That was my impression too. While Dandy Powderman quite openly gave this as a reason for "taking a longer break", Rocky just disappeared without further notice around the same time.

Whilst I understand his need for a break, to cite negativity is hard to fathom. Not everyone is going to agree on everything. Not everyone agrees with me. Not everyone agrees with Rocky. And not everyone agrees with The Stones output, decisions, musicality etc.

Surely the purpose of a board IS to discuss. And sometimes discussion, by default I guess, can appear negative. It shouldn't. It's merely human nature that we don't agree on everything, apary from The Stones ARE and always will be THE greatest band in the world. But for all of us, they may have taken a different, slightly, path to that greatness. And THAT'S to discuss and healthily disagree and agree with.

"This is madness. This tribe used to be a good place for many moons and many generations.
Now it is a terrible web...a net that captures only bad talk and anger. I don't wish to be a part of this any more unless we can find harmony and joy like we once knew."

Taken from last post by Rocky Dijon....

He seemed to be quite frustrated with the ups and downs of the supposed new album (he posted detailed notes on various sessions, etc.), and at times frustrated with the new album thread itself.

He'll be back...I guess !

At this point he's probably disheartened after writing many long and insightful (he has to be the one that's shared the most info that originally appeared on Beggar's Banquet) posts only to be repeatedly faced with ridiculous one word posts/jokes with 20 quoted messages in them. Hard to argue with that.

What happened to that massive thread (new album, 2019). I think it had 10,000 posts or something. Just died out?

There's always hope, but once you come to the conclusion that writing long and insightful posts is just a waste of time because you're increasingly dealing with infantile jerks here it's difficult to come back as if nothing has happened.

This is a very quiet time in Stones` history. Nothing happens. Even the OT topics reappear. Just think of the Joan Baez thread with the same pictures with her and the Stones.

Everybody needs to make a walkabout at times. I do it myself when I can. The Stones do mean a lot to us, but there is more in life.

I suspect we have many verses to come.

For now, Senor Dijon is simply on a, solo.
