I'm sitting at home reading this absolutely shell shocked. I've spent time in Bard's company several times in the last 5 years, standing right next to him at 2 Stones gigs - his home city gig in Oslo and Hamburg. I've also been to 2 of the 3 live performances of the revelation that is the IORR Band.

My very best wishes to you sir. Fingers and toes all crossed for a full recovery.

I’ve just watched that right the way through, Tony. A sublime performance at the Hope and Anchor just 11 months ago. I was there and it was some show from the multinational combo.

I too have great memories of those few days in Oslo. A good but slightly wobbly show at the Telenor but a fantastic whole weekend with local boy Bård playing a starring role with all his local info. I met lots of people from this board in person for the 1st time, I was at a Stones Tribute show at the John Dee club the night before and I recognised DP from his photo on IORR, Standing right next to me in the crowd! He, I and an Austrian guy went out for a few beers after and we queued for several hours on show day grabbing great spots at the end of the catwalk.

Best wishes to you both. Mental Health issues are not to be trivialised and I get angry with ignorant people who do so.

You're too sweet and kind! How I wish I'd met you and the others on the upcoming tour. Although I knew deep down I wasn't going to make it this time.

Unfortunately, I'm hospitalised with cancer. It's bone marrow and kidneys. The dialysis and chemo are working, though, so I'll give this a good fight. There is a chance I'll get well enough again to live a good life. I'm not gonna let that slide.

I thought I had the flu! The functionality level of the kidneys were only 3 percent when I got to the hospital. The doctors say they can be mended a good bit.

....Dandelion, sorry to hear of your plight............I had a life threatening cancer in 1992. In 1997, the surgeon, at the last follow up check up, told me they had been really worried about me and didn't think I was going to last that summer...............so, with all else on your side, it is do-able.....................................best wishes and good luck............Eddie.......
