OT: Calvin Russell

Hello everyone!
I am writing a new post today because I wonder if Calvin Russell is famous in the U.S or any other country than France?
My dad was a fan of this bluesman and so do I. I saw him two times in concert in France, he was very famous in France... But when I went to Austin Texas, where Calvin Russell comes from, no one knew him, even where he used to play in the Continental Club.

I am also a big French fan
He was great and I enjoyed his concerts.

He was quite well known in France in the 90's. I gig his Play with Fire cover and the song Crossroads.
Maybe it is a little bit like Ben Harper, US singer famous in France but so much elsewhere ?
