I remember dancing, in succession to 'You can't always get what you want', 'Wuthering heights' and 'Monkey man' at my local disco in 1978 - does that count?

I took Let it bleed along and asked for a couple of requests.......

No connection I know of, but she does has a long-standing connection to David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.

Kate Bush had a connection to Bryan Ferry. Jerry Hall is the connection between Bryan Ferry and Mick Jagger. There's degrees of separation at least, though Rupert Murdoch makes it all seem kind of gross.

Kate Bush came from Welling in the Kent / South London borders just a short bus / train ride from Dartford! Best connection I can come up with.

I once danced with a girl at a local disco, 1978, to YCAGWYW, Wuthering heights and Monkey man, in that order - I remember it well as I took along Let it bleed and requested and of course Kate Bush was in the charts..........also, we were the only two on the dance floor.

grinning smiley ..............no it was in Wales in the '70s when men were men, the sheep were shit scared and the women smelled like horses................(mind you, not that much has changed..........(Mick told some Welsh jokes in 2006 - nobody laughed - then he realised, when the massive "anybody here from England" cheer went up, it was because all/most of the fans had come across the river from England......(and the English didn't get the jokes......................grinning smiley

Prince played on that album, too, about a decade after he opened for the Stones.

Well done to Kate, and it's been getting some coverage about her recent popularity, here on the BBC and Sky news channels.

She has always been a great talent, in my opinion. smileys with beer

Don't think I've ever heard a Kate Bush interview before.
I guess a Stones connection is Charlie and Keith were never obsessed with the Internet and smartphones etc,and Kate seems to be on the same wavelength. smiling smiley
