i went on to my facebook this morning,to find mick jagger wants to be friends,before I confirmed I checked out the page saw alot of photos and comments.

it said the page was offical so confirmed the friend button,then I get a private mesg from Mick jagger (not sure if it was him)saying things like thankyou for being a fan,he asked when I became a fan,how many times did i see the stones play.

I had a little online chat with Mick Jagger.

is this fake or what?

my comment I made was I hope you can come back to china or hong kong and it got liked.

I recommend you to send a message to a Mick's friend and ask about how they became friends on facebook

My good friend Julie in Quebec also received a request from Mick and also one from Ronnie last year....

Before Chuck Berry died the same thing happened to me. After a few messages I was asked to donate some money for some hokey reasons. I didn't and the Facebook page still exist. Looks real though.

If someone on the internet says he's Mick Jagger, it must be true!

This is Mick's only official Facebook page. You can tell it's authorised by the blue "tick" or "check" mark next to his name.
You cannot be friends with him, you can only "like" him.
Any other "Mick Jagger" (and there are loads) is fake even if it calls itself "official".

Yep...I'm sure it's him.

He'll probably be interested in your credit card info and SS# next and want you to wire money to some address in Ouagadugou.

Come on. Basic rule: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

it's either a marketing "scam" (or "activity" if you prefer that term)...or its an ID-thief scam.

you'd be amazed what people can find out about you from just your FB and your friends' FB.

I don't do FB at all, but if I did I sure wouldn't accept this "friend"....
